I have watched you over and over and over again speak ill will of Romney. It seems like an absolute obsession.

I have watched others over and over and over again speak gushing praise of Romney. It seems like IS an absolute obsession.

Notice there is no substantive discussion on the subject matter of the thread or the content of the video and the points being made by Brozell and Romney.

YOU have a chance to do it then. Go for it!

In fact, it is one of the more disgusting aspects of FR ... having to scroll through the obligatory six or seven Romney-hating loons to get to a decent debate over issues.

There are THOUSANDS of us!

THIS is why ol' MITT will LOSE again if he sticks his head up out of the sand.

Smell the coffee and spend your time and money supporting someone who CAN win NATIONALLY in 2012!!

It never ceases to amaze me how these spewing Romney haters can rationalize the fact that Romney....

It never ceases to amaze me how these spewing Romney lovers can admit the fact that MITT is NOT all that Conservative. THAT is why he lost - not his lukewarm MORMONISM.

When would be a good time for a couple of our highly trained young folks to come by your house to fully explain the Restored® Gospel to you?

You don’t actually expect a RomneyBOT, like ComeUpHigher,
to actually say anything of importance?

The RomneyBOTs, like the backstabbers from the GOP
against Gov.Palin’s children (also RomneyBOTs),
have only one goal: obfuscation and attack of any threat
to their chosen Master in his taking of the Presidency
by force and subterfuge.

Just an observation

I have watched you over and over and over again speak ill will of Romney. It seems like an absolute obsession. Usually you will ping “helpers” who vomit additional wrath along side of you in true character assassination style. I recommend a hobby or medication.

No — I’m a devout, church-going, raised-in-the-pews Baptist. Very conservative (after a brief teenage stint in the wilderness akin to the Prodical Son.)

My point is not that I love Mitt Romney so much. He is far from perfect. (as Christ said, There is none without sin. No not one.)

My larger point is that McCain was just so obviously awful ... a feeble-ish geek, white bread boring, Washington insider, liberal ‘Democrat’ on ALL issues except the WOT and abortion ... yet these same Romney haters (not just on FR but in many conservative circles) fell silent and in fact offered praise and approval.

McCain has done MORE damage to the conservative movement than Romney ever did on his worst day.... Romney in 2008 had a far more enthusiastic PRO-CONSERVATIVE message ... that would have been understood and better embraced in the general election. McCain was so confused, he confused himself.

No, I’m not a Mormon. Far from it.

But I do agree with people like Dobson, Tancredo, Rick Santorum, Limbaugh, Ingraham, Beck, Hannity, Jones, Mack, Weyrich, National Review, Lowry, and hundreds more who saw the BIGGER picture (supported or endorsed Romney) -— and were not obsessed with petty hatreds over a few statements someone might have made or done 15 years ago.

With attitudes like you see here on FR (and elsewhere) with the obstinate hate-filled “anti crowd” (toward any Republican, not just Romney) -— the GOP will cease to be a viable party.

Bingo!

It's not the Mormon bit but another M word that is an issue between Mitt and the vast majority of FR members even many of the so called Mormon bashers.

That word is Moderate...

Rameumptom, you're a guy who has falsely claimed that Rush Limbaugh "endorsed" and/or "supported? Mitt Romney, and you even name the date you claim he did it, state unequivically (in a question format) that he voted for Romney "in the booth in Florida," (something you have no way of knowing unless you could provide a transcript in which Rush said that's what he did, and you haven't so far).

To support your false claims about your hero, you included a carefully excerpted clip from transcripts that in reality, in context, was praise for Romney and weak praise, at that -- we're NOT talking the "Religion in America" speech, which was not about Romney's politics, but about what its title suggests; lurkeres and readers, please UNDERSTAND that when a pundint even weakly praises Romney about something, this guy and others will boldlly and authoritatively decoare that such pundit "endorsed" Romney when the pundit did no such thing. Rameumptom has proven to me that his standards for ethics and honesty are pretty low. This post is FYI.

Other Romney fans here have claimed falsely that Michael Reagan "endorsed" Romney, and by "endorse" or "support," I maintain that in the political context, those words specifically imply that the person or organization doing them is advocating financial support or advising that people vote for the specific candidate. Now, sadly, Mark Levin did just that becasue he believed Romney was the least of the evils in front of primary voters, so it's truthful to say Levin "endorsed" Romney. But it is plainly false to say Limbaught did, and so far it looks like its false to say Reagan did, took because the only printed written words from Reagan himself that you use to support your claim, were from a column written almost two years ago about how Romney and Giuliani were both more conservative that people give them credit for -- the column you cite as evidence of Reagan "supporting" Romney was actually about how Republicans should accept liberal tendencies in their candidates, that there are no "perfect" conservative candidates.

It irks the heck out of me, Rameumpton, that you keep posting crap to force Romney down the throats of Republicans when you have exhibited on this forum lack of ethics and dare I say it, a propensity to LIE OUTRIGHT in order to convince readers that brilliant minds agree with you about your hero. They don't, and as far as I am concerned, YOU HAVE ZERO CREDIBILITY.

I apologize for all the horrible typos in my post above — posted it before I had a chance to proof and fix it! My point remains the same, however: Rameumpton and like-minded Romney supporters deserve little credibility based on their past false claims that their hero is supported by certain pundits.

The resident liberals would rather have Obama in the White House than a Mormon.

I see. So those of us who consider Romney poison to the future of conservatism and the U.S., wouldn't think that about him if he wasn't Mormon? Right, just insult the intelligence and ethics of a whole bunch of us who regard Romney as a dangerous Trojan horse to our Republic.

If Romney's actual words and record weren't enough (and they are) to make real conservatives want to toss him off the Republican boat altogether, the behavior of his supporters on Free Republic IS. You people rationalize and twist out of context praise from pundits to falsely declare that said pundit "supported" or "endorsed" your hero. You attribute well-though, well-reasoned, objections to Romney's policies and politics to "hatred" and anti-religioius bigotry.

Your actions speak volumes about Romney.

Romney would have been a better candidate than McCain, especially with the financial crisis. IMO. And certainly a better president than Obama.

Notice there is no substantive discussion on the subject matter of the thread or the content of the video and the points being made by Brozell and Romney. It is just bash Romney.

That's because Romney has no credibility, and whatever he says is tainted by that, so I and others have little interest in what he thinks about anything. The guy has bought his way into "leadership" in the Republican party; he's supported passionately by politically-moderate evangelicals like Hugh Hewitt, who dove headlong in the tank for Romney even before the primaries; and he's on this tour because of that, IMO. His credibility is null, and so his ideas are not worth the time it takes to read or watch them.

On the other hand, it is WELL WORTH the time to counter impressions made by pro-Romney FReepers with threads like this. Romney is distrusted and loathed by MANY conservatives. He spent ten times more than anybody and couldn't even hold out to the end of the primaries. GET A CLUE. Your candidate is a loser -- not because he's a Mormon, but because he's a moderate-liberal Republican. That's the REAL subject matter, IMO.
