Mitt Romney on the Media (NRO cruise video)
Mitt Romney and Brent Bozell discuss what to do about the MSM. Brent cites figures which show the MSM is dying (but this past election shows the dying dinosaur isn't dead yet). Mitt has some great one liners and a good assessment of what conservatives need to do.
Whoever is going up against Obama in 2012 whether it is Romney/Jindal/Palin or someone not on our radar yet they have to be able to effectively address, counter and deal with the media.

And an oldie but goodie when as Gov. of Mass. Mitt gives the media the smackdown. The whining reporter claims "I represent the people". Mitt replies, "No I represent the people, you represent the media".

I'd have no problem voting for him again. I'd also not hesitate to do volunteer work for him. For Bush's first term I did volunteer work, not the second and NONE for McPain. It was hard enough voting for McPain.

I have watched you over and over and over again speak ill will of Romney. It seems like an absolute obsession. Usually you will ping “helpers” who vomit additional wrath along side of you in true character assassination style. I recommend a hobby or medication.
Notice there is no substantive discussion on the subject matter of the thread or the content of the video and the points being made by Brozell and Romney. It is just bash Romney. Brozell and Romney had some great insights about the media shift coming and how to use it to conservative advantage. Forget that—bash Romney. These guys are so overcome with hate, they can’t even listen and learn.

Anyways, watching Mitt, as I have done for over a decade now, and knowing him to be a very smart, educated man...it is that....therefore which confirms the worst of him. That he is, politically, an opportunist, and he knows it. He has and very much will say anything.
Also, as I would with anyone who gave his word and then abandoned his charges, I’d hold that against him. He’s done it twice, at least. First in abandoning his duties as Governor, which he did half way through his first and only ever elected office( you would of thought one would of gotten a little more under their belt. But, maybe Harvard Law/MBA does that to you) and the second and confirming time when he ‘suspended’ his campaign. I thought that was just limp, that he let a busted out elderly guy push him out. I was just so typically cyborg, plastic, number crunching Mitt. It was so, so non fighting.
Clinton, Obama, McCain, Reagan even Nixon. I admire fighters. Especially when, if you lose, you go home and can say you did all you could do, right to the end. Mitt? He couldn’t even say I quit. No, he ‘suspended’, as in floating in the ether, levitating. Not out, not in.
Very typical. And now that it doesn’t matter, he’s all a charging. Mr. Certainty.

This thread and the attached video aren’t promoting Romney. It’s discussing conservative opportunities in the media of the future. Did you even watch and try to learn? My narrow prejudices? You guys are “one-bash wonders.” Try getting a life that doesn’t require bashing Romney every time his name is just mentioned.

The posted video was from a cruise attended by conservatives discussing conservative ideas and strategy. Romney was one of many invited and who participated in panel discussions (as the video shows). And this was promoting Romney? Wearing your tin-foil hat?
By the way, were you one of the conservatives invited on this cruise? Didn’t think so. Are you one of those conservative activists posting from your Mom’s basement while wearing your pajamas? Thanks for your learned input.
Romney is a socialist, DNC-enforcer and GOP-backstabber,
who never allows a vote (except his own).
I liked NR when I started reading it in the 70's, in high school, although it was a bit Catholic, it was very anti-communist, and social traditionalist, which I liked.
I'm more of a Heritage type now, although the St. Louis Federal Reserve has had some accessible writing that has captured me.

Kind of sad though. I doubt any in that picture now call him, or write. It's almost as if...as if...he was used...and cast away.
Some sort of age old lesson there. I'd love for Mitt to talk about that picture, which has become his own little "Healthcare In our Time".
