too bad
Additional update (as of 4:45 pm EST):
- Confirmed: Leo WILL be on tonight in the 2nd hour of the Lion’s Den on PlainsRadio, 9 pm CST
- Leo believes (maybe something he heard or sensed last week while in front of the SCOTUS) that HIS case was dismissed today to make room to hear Cort’s case.
- Leo has indicated for weeks that Cort’s case is MUCH better constructed than Leo’s. If the SCOTUS wished, they could have heard Cort’s case on Dec. 5, but elected not to. Cort’s case is “easier” to deal with, in that it had no judicial misconduct allegations. Conversely, because the BC issue was also covered in Leo’s case (as a minor point), Cort’s case would have been summarily denied Conference on Dec. 12.
- Confirmed: Leo WILL be holding a press conference tomorrow (Tue) morning on the SCOTUS steps. No idea of topic or who from the MSM is invited.
Sorry FRiend - did not mean to speak for you there - was speaking for me on the usurper comment :)
You make good points, both grammatically and structurally, but I doubt those things are going to gain any points from those on the other side of this issue.
But thanks for the advice...:)

***It looks like Leo learned a bit too late that he was fouling the nest, as the congressman said.
Like I said in a Freepmail to you - TRUTH HAS BECOME STRANGER THEN FICTION - you could not write this crap for a made for TV movie.
The Supreme Court of the United States, or the Supreme Court of a state, do not engage in discovery. The Supreme Courts only review records of a lower court proceeding; they do not engage in making or taking evidence.
Thanks for an additional update, BP2.

(Thanks, Kevmo.)
So in your opinion the era of the Founding Fathers extended into 1933?
You are right, thank you for the correction. Thinking too much of the bigger picture of the case.
There's just one difference: this time, there will be no civil war.
Thanks for your supported opposition...that really is what attracted me to FR and I have watched it go down a notch with these threads over the past several weeks - FReepers at odds with each other - new (non-troll) versus old timers - conspiracy theorists and enthusiastic investigators - so much knowledge and your points are well taken...
Some random thoughts about this whole mess: In a way, we made the same mistake with Bill Clinton; we all knew who and what he was, revealed him before the American people, and in the end: they didn't give a damn. I'd hate to see us do the same thing again when the long-term strategy for victory is about far more mundane things: organizing, party-building, networking, issue identification, communications, fund-raising, etc.
IMHO, the Clinton's are fully engrossed in this and between you, me and the board, it is no tin foil reach to know exactly what the Clinton's got away with during Round One - Now comes Round Two and it's like our fathers taught us - Do me once, shame on you - do me again, shame on me. I see round two coming...
The rest of your points were civil and well received, as well...and my thanks for that...Hehehehehe...you didn't change my opinions, but you knew that anyway. Lets keep all FReepers sharing good structured points...even in opposition!!!
Yes, you did!
Also, it’s been discussed in some circles that Leo’s case would have penalized the NJ SOS and opened a big can of worms that could have done a lot of damage.
The “bad” election laws are the responsibility of the state legislatures, i.e, SOS Presidential eligibility verification. BTW, my personal belief is that SOSs have an equal responsibility to uphold the Constitution (i.e., verify presidential eligibility), per their oath of office. That is a political question — Leo’s SCOTUS case could have been a balance of power issue between the Judicial and Legislature.
Cort’s case does not raise this issue (as I understand it). “The lower court papers are cleaner.”
Stop it - I live just south of the TN border - I have been there...I know it really exists, unlike those places like Wyoming, North Dakota, etc...they don't exist - we just made them up and forced a few people to put license plates on their cars from those states so we would think they were real ststaes.
If it turns out that Obama lied about who his father is that wouldn't make a difference to anyone?
The Obama Messsiah can do no wrong!
Exactly. Why else would the AP call it a "residency issue?"
What would the AP call World War II? A "land dispute?"
