Constitutional crisis looming over Obama's birth location
World Net Daily ^ | 11/14/08 | Bob Unruh

The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.

The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

‘Tis over. Accept it. I just saw an ad from some low-rent mail-order douche from Norwalk, CT selling Obama commemorative coins. Sickness beyond belief. For reference, Google Germany, 1938.

I saw somewhere last week (but cannot find it now) there are serious people talking about how to carve Messiah's head into Mt Rushmore.

The Constitution is strong.

The Constitution is meaningless with the high morals and ethics that officialdom and citizenry have to keep up and pass down. Without that, it is words, just words.

President Grover Cleveland refused Texas Drought Relief bill in 1887 saying:

I can find no warrant for such an appropriation in the Constitution; and I do not believe that the power and duty of the General Government ought to be extended to the relief of individual suffering which is in no manner properly related to the public service or benefit. A prevalent tendency to disregard the limited mission of this power and duty should, I think, be steadily resisted, to the end that the lesson should be constantly enforced that, though the people support the Government, the Government should not support the people.
Entitlement and "bailout" payments which are totally without constitutional authority now make up the bulk of government spending -- add to that the "uneconomic" (old school meaning of that word) extravangances in the federal bureaucracy that support non-granted authority and we have really a federal government that runs beyond nearly all constitutional bounds.

Where is any federal authority granted to ban automatic weapons? There is none. To fund and/or oversee education? There is none. To regulate the water flow from bathroom shower heads? There is none.

Yet the Constitution is strong. Nope. The Constitution is on life-support at a hospice in Pinellas County Fl, with a husband living with another woman as wife, and with judge, husband and death-lawyers signing an order for no fluids and no feeding.

And what about the rights of live babies who are left to die after an “unsuccessful” abortion?

Is the Constitution strong enough for them?

I’m sure there are a few conservatives at such places. Of course, the faculty are about 95% leftist scum.

You mentioned this issue not going anywhere. You also stated that the Riots would be huge.

So what!

This is a black or white issue. Right or wrong. No gray or fuzzy areas.

The law is the law. And upholding the Constitution is the right thing to do.

We should not and do not bend our rules for mobs and thugs.

This is one of the moments in time that all Americans should stand up to fight for what is right!

If you truly are RetiredArmy, then please remember back to when you took an oath. I still remember the oath I took when I enlisted. I took it to heart.

Additionally, we have concerns about his secretiveness regarding all aspects of his past, ...

Thanks a lot, these points are going on the list. I hope you understand if the last sentence gets toned down a bit. What about something like "psychological characteristics invite comparison to A. Hitler"?

If what you say is true, and I have no idea about it, it still doesn’t say where he was born, and it is also factual, from the information on I’ve read here, that even a child born elsewhere can obtain a COLB from the state of HI and it will not state the place of birth.

So what is your point?

“I wonder if Keyes is a bit angry at his terrible loss in the Senate race. He really was put in a an awful position to fill in at the last moment. That would cause some bitterness. He is human, after all, and subject to the same failings as all of us.”

So you think bitterness is motivating Keyes?

Prove it.

She thinks the Repubs lost because they weren’t moderate enough, she says so on this thread.

This discussion reminds me of the Revolutionary War. Only about 30% of the population, from what I’ve read, wanted independence. A lot didn’t care, and some wanted to remain under the King.

FactCheck.bvw says hold up there, fellow citizen. Obama’s COLB serial number does indeed match up to his birthdate in Hawaii — it is in the right neighborhood give or take a week by the Census Bureau’s statistics of births in Hawaii in 1961. What we don’t know if they grabbed somebody else’s number — although theoretically a team could track down every other birth announcement in those 1961 paper clippings and somehow get the birth cert number from them — that is from the early November birthday boys and gals listed. That would be hard, but NOT subject to the idiotic (given the immense valid and legitimate public interest in the birth facts of a President) refusal of Hawaiian officials to produce it. That is, they could read the privacy law per its very words and release all birth records to the public.

Status, embarrassment, an intra-family feud? Did not have to be many witnesses either. One of the Dunhams could have carried it out. And now they are all gone.

You basically said that Repubs need to cavill to moderates. You didn’t say the word “cavill” but that’s what you meant. I already said that if you did not say the dread word “tinfoil”, I apologize. My memory says you did, but I am not perfect.

Regarding my supposed accusation accusing you of personal attacks, what I meant was this, and I think I was crystal clear: You have not said one. damn. thing about the actual discussion at hand, only used loaded words that tinge the discussion and therefore, obviously, the people who are having it and investing time and energy researching it, with wingnutism which will not appeal to the moderates.

And I am not saying you used the word wingnut.

If you reply to me again I’m not going to bother addressing you. I remember discussions with you a couple of years ago about conseravtive social issues and you are a social liberal, and that’s your position and your business. If you really are interested in whether Obama is eligible to be US President, you can read up. If you want to nitpick and subtly criticize the people discussing it, that’s your right but I have no interest in engaging with you on that level.

OK Mr Keyes, pull this off and I will not only vote for you, i will get back into active campaigning and volunteer! I am SERIOUS. I am experienced, having worked for three (successful, Reagan, GHW Bush, GW Bush) presidential campaigns, two gubernatorial campaigns and numerous state and national senate campaigns. Say it LOUD, Mr Keyes. Get ATTENTION Mr. Keyes.

And most of all, take advantage of buyers remorse, Mr. Keyes.
