The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Reports reflect Obama’s mother went to Kenya during her pregnancy; however, she was prevented from boarding a flight from Kenya to Hawaii at her late stage of pregnancy, which apparently was a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight. Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama) gave birth to Obama in Kenya, after which she flew to Hawaii and registered Obama’s birth. There are records of a “registry of birth” for Obama, on or about August 8, 1961 in the public records office in Hawaii
When I discovered the articles from papers had been pulled I went looking for them as I had remembered reading them and had them bookmarked to myfavs. I had original titles and was able to locate the missing stories and they have been saved. I still haven’t had a chance to re-read the story “Saying Good bye to a Mother” yet but I will. It seemed odd to me as it was a story which had been at “The Honolulu Advertiser” and had been written not that long ago. I went to re-read it and got “story not found” and yet stories which had been written in 2007 could still be accessed. To me that stinks and I don’t know why yet but I will figure it out.
The article about the woman who hd worked with Jr at his first job at BIC gave the salary they earned and it also mentioned the salary he got at his job with the PIRG. When he was interviewed after being named as editor of the law review he mentioned those two jobs allowd him to fully pay off his loans for his second year at Oxy and the two years at Columbia. Can’t have those salary figures get out as someone might question how Jr paid for his 3 years at college plus his trip to Indonesia and Pakistan in 1981 while he had earned $15,000/yr at BIC and less than $10,000/yr with the PIRG while living in NYC!
The article about Jr’s first meeting also pays a lie to his assertion that he returned to Hawaii from Idonesia in 1971 when in fact he had returned to Hawaii in 1970! Got to cover up and remove articles which show he lied!
There was a link on the long thread to his articles. When I re-read the long post I checked for links which were no longer viable. That was one of the first which gave me a “Page Not Found” when I clicked on it.
I don’t “rely” on any single news source. Most of them are right most of the time and wrong sometimes. Nobody’s perfect.
Again I will say that if the officials of the Hawaii Health Department were misquoted or misinterpreted they should immediately call a press conference or issue clarifying statements to correct what’s currently on the record. They work for a Republican Governor who endorsed John McCain, campaigned for John McCain and Governor Lingle called “native son” Barack Obama “unqualified” to be President of the United States.
The report on the Virginia Writ of Mandamus hearing was taken from conservative blogs and websites, so if its false, I guess that just goes to show that liberals and conservatives can get it wrong.
If the AP wire isn’t your cup of tea, that’s fine. We’ll all have the actual judges’ rulings in a number of cases in short order.
Don’t you find it even the least bit strange that at no time did John McCain or Sarah Palin EVER utter a single word about Barack Hussein Obama Junior’s citizenship status?

For all the naysayers wanting it to die I have an interesting scenario. Jr gets sworn in as President and serves. When the next election is over and his term or terms are finished, will the Dept of Health in Hawaii refuse to release his long form vault copy birth certificate when approached for the purposes of displaying it in a Presidential Library? Will the “purported” hospital he was born at refuse to release their records for display in said library citing HIPA? Will Oxy, Columbia and Harvard refuse to release his records for said library? IMO the denied requests to release such documents are temporary. But what would happen if such records are released for display at said library and it is then discovered that in actual fact Jr was NOT born in the U.S. All hell would break lose! This is what to say to naysayers that if it is discovered after the fact there will in fact be a Constitutional Crisis and it would negate any and all actions of a Jr government!

I think Breyer, Ginsburg, Souter, and Stevens will prolly vote against ... think it even or better odds that Alito, Roberts, Scalia, and Thomas will vote for ...

BIGLOOK - Calpernia posted a week or so ago (time flies..) that it looks as though the font of the “announcement” is a bit different than the font of the surrounding type, and IIRC another thing (or two) that says “uh oh”. The only thing that has shown up is a photo copy, and to her it seems bogus. Made sense to me when I read her comment. Wish I knew where it was.

Hmmm, now that is certainly an interesting point. It would be a throwback to the Founding when electors threw away votes as and attempt to make sure the VP candidate did not tie or beat the P candidate.
If in fact, this issue has any validity I would expect the electors to give some votes for Hillary as insurance against President McCain.
Hamilton did just that to make sure that Adams did not beat or tie Washington when they ran together. It was the beginning of the undying hatred Adams felt for Hamilton since he believed himself just as qualified, if not more so, as Washington.
These expedients worked until the election of 1800 when the non-specific tickets allowed Burr to have enough EVs to keep Jefferson from being named Presidents. It took 36 ballots in the House before Hamilton convinced an Elector from Maryland to not vote thereby handing the presidency to his deadly enemy, Jefferson. But he feared Burr more.

Perhaps because they knew that McCain himself was not eligible either according to the Constitution and also what Leo Donafrio stated. That is why McCain was included in Leo's suit.
I had thought that McCain was eligible because his parents were US citizens being in Panama due to the military. But see now that Leo Donafrio is correct about McCain not being a “natural born citizen”.
And a Registry of Birth smells of born off island! I’m going to make a quick trip over to the Hawaii websites and see if anything is up about the court case today! It’s 6 or 7 pm there now.

There is something which makes no sense in all this: why would a pregnant 17 yr old be allowed to fly to Kenya in the first place? Unless she was totally out of control (which appears very likely) her parents would have gone nuts. And it her “husband” had any brains or concerns about her or the babies health he would have been dead set against it. Unless he wanted her and/or it to go away.
