Constitutional crisis looming over Obama's birth location

The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.

The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

If you think there is sufficient evidence that Obama is not a viable candidate (Until the EC meets he is not Pres. elect) take it up with the current President, George Bush.

Sound advice. We should continue to ask questions and persue legal options but it is not wise to try to convince ourselves, or the world, that a valid HI BC does not exist. Remember how foolish some folks made us look during the Ashley Todd affair.

That was just so unnecessary!!! I had been so interested in this thread until all the attacks against civilized discussion began. Reminds me of a few years back when I complained about the conservatives protesting in front of my church about support of gay rights when my church had never taken a stand for gays. Was I ever flamed!! I still believe that blocking my way into church was WRONG, no matter what group was doing it!

According to the parcel records; a sale occurred on Apr. 21, 1995, and another sale (previously) occurred on Dec. 15, 1992. Unfortunately, names are absent from the digital files, and any previous owners are not included in the digital files. Were a local Hawaiian Freeper drafted for duty; they could root around in the files physically and verify most if not all of the previous owners. As you stated in your post; a title search would nail it down conclusively. The parcel ownership question in 1961, is an essential piece of missing data.

It might be possible to access the County Clerk and Recorder online. I'll sniff around some more.

If he doesn't respond, legally he admits to all the requests for admissions of Berg's suit. However, if the judge dismisses the suit for any reason, that won't matter. That's what happened in district court when Berg was denied standing.

So, obviously, it is dangerous not to respond. Most think Obama's lawyer was incompetent for failing to respond and filing a Motion for Dismissal instead. Had the judge acceded to hearing the case, Obama would have been in quite a pickle.

No one can tell you really what's going to happen, because the Supreme Court is unpredictable. IF there are five justices with common sense and faithfulness to the Constitution on this point, then they will accept the suit and Obama will finally have to produce all relevant documents, including his birth certificate.

That's a big IF.
