If any or all of the cases, including the ones currently before SCOTUS are granted Cert, the MSM WILL HAVE to report it.

IMAGINE the majority of the public’s surprise (if Cert is granted) that this has been out there for months AND the MSM ignored it!!!

Do you realize that at this moment we have nearly 500 posts on a thoroughly moronic thread?

Resolution 511 (whether passed or not) was a BOGUS attempt by the Left to provide cover for Obama - in case this issue got legs.

The Left could claim that they “blessed” McCain - so Obama should be too.

There was NEVER a need for Resolution 511, as it has been settled U.S. Law for many years (like, since 1905) about American servicemen’s children born overseas. They ARE natural born citizens.

Do you realize that you yourself contributed over 1% of posts to this “moronic” thread? (There are, I’m told, tens of thousands of members of this forum.)

would even the most slavish Democrat hack find it within himself to vote for "The Dumbest Man In The Senate"?

Uhmm...I think they already did.

Why would Bush question it? No one but us and a few others seem to care. Most of the conservative media thinks it’s a joke, or ignores it, as does the RNC. Besides, there is NO way to prove a negative (why doesn’t Bush give Obama the brush-off).

That’s sick and perverted. Your post is a vivid demonstration of the cowardly and craven mindset that has overtaken the GOP.

You obviously could care less about the Constitution, the truth and the future of the country. Your own safety and personal power is more important to you than any of those things.

The President of the United States swears an oath before God to defend the Constitution. By not releasing his birth certificate Obama is subverting that oath even before he takes it. The person who will swear solemnly to uphold the Constitution and execute the laws while ignoring those laws from the get-go is urinating on the Supreme Law of the Land.

And Republicans have become too afraid of their own shadow to do a thing about it.

Your party deserves to die.

Ture, but it is how it is- Senators Presidents Speakers all are called by the former titles as a sign of respect.

I agree. If our constitution is thrashed on this issue then it has been rendered but a faulty bit of history that must be corrected as we move toward .......... My God I can’t believe how easily some are willing to write this off as inconsequential when it is of paramount importance. Even a supposed conservative talk show host flippantly wrote it off saying the vote of the populace (i.e., dead, nonexistent and multiple voters,) over ruled Constitutional requirements. So a fight in is order. Our Constitution warrants sacrifice as it always has by true Patriots and national heroes.
Sorry for rant.

Yes, that’s exactly why we are in this mess to start with. McCain chose the nice guy path and that is why he lost.

Keyes earned his PhD in government affairs from Harvard University in 1979, having written a dissertation on Alexander Hamilton and constitutional theory, under Harvey C. Mansfield.

I stand corrected.

“Do you seriously think there was no fraud and the election was won fair and square?
Sure, there was some voter fraud but c’mon, Obama won by nearly 8.5 million votes! It wasn't all fraudulent. We need to own up to the fact that we lost some important demographics this time around. This “It wasn't our fault! We wuz robbed!” mentality isn't going to win us any future elections. It is pathetic and deserving of scorn.

I never said Republicans “blew it”...nor did the millions who voted for Sarah.

Well, you haven't been here long enough to have seen the outrage on this forum as Republicans gradually compromised their principles and McCain became the heir apparent. And sure, Palin energized a lot of the base but by then it was too little, too late. We'd already lost white professionals. In the end with Palin trying to carry McCain to the finish line, it was obvious to everyone that the guy just didn't really want to be president.

We preach a lot about personal responsibility on this site. Some people here need to practice it and stop trying to pass off the blame.”

THE FAULT HERE LIES WITH THE MSM!!!

They gave a PASS to Obama at EVERY turn, while if McCain or Palin farted into the wind, the MSM was calling for congressional investigations.

The American public has a RIGHT to ALL information (except personal) that would allow them to make informed choices.

Do you SERIOUSLY think that 20% of the GOP voters and a substantial number of conservative DEMS would have voted for Obama if they knew about Wright, Ayers, etc.

AND, if there is any credence to the BC issue?

By law children born to US Military stationed overseas are citizens at birth. Almost any child of a US citizen is automatically a citizen except in some pretty uncommon circumstances which relate to the citizen parent's residency prior to the birth of the child.

Try printing that in all caps, maybe it will become true. McCain is 72 years old, the laws were different then.

Oh good, that means that despite the results of the election McCain cannot be sworn as POTUS!

NOT true- at the very least, do you not remember the lead in drinking water story? Clinton tightened rules on drinking water, and Bush reversed it. It caused a big furor in 2001.

To the lawyers out there - why are they confounding the two questions, e.g. the question of where he was born AND the question of whether he holds citizenship in another country.

Being a “natural born citizen” of the USA does not prevent one from also being a citizen of another country, as the Supreme Court has already ruled exactly that. The confounding of these two issues separate issues may give cause to dismiss the case without determining his eligibility as a natural born citizen... no?

By the way, I was born in the Canal Zone (Gorgas Hospital) and still live in Panama. In other words, I’m not an outsider inventing things.

Great, I was merely loosely quoting from one of the court filings.

As I understand it, we may have purchased the property, but we did not have sovereignty on that land, any more than any foreign business has sovereignty, over land they purchase, they only have property rights.

Is that not a correct understanding?
