The upcoming meeting between President-elect Barack Obama and his one-time rival, Sen. John McCain, was set in motion during a phone call over the weekend between Obama and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), McCain's closest friend.
In an interview Friday, Graham said that Obama requested the meeting during a 20-minute phone call that the South Carolina senator described as a "pleasant" discussion about how they could work together effectively.
"We just talked about the desire to find something meaningful to work on," Graham said. "He was very nice to me, said that he considered me a serious, reform-minded senator that he could do business with."

These guys are nothing more than slick used car salesmen. That is it.
McCain bringing a new set of kneepads?
Must have worn the old ones out during the ‘campaign’.
In January and February of 1999, after two impeachment articles had been passed by the full House, he was one of the managers who brought the House’s case to Clinton’s trial in the Senate. Though the Senate did not convict Clinton, Graham became nationally known.
Graham elected to Senate in 2002.

“The bad news about the 2008 election is that Obama won.
The good news is that McCain lost. “
That adequately sums up this entire circus.
I watched it live and the pundits were shocked when he voted “no” on one of the articles. I think it was the article pertaining to lieing under oath. Whatever, the pundits said that the one he voted “no” on was the one easiest to prove.
That stupid vote by Arlin Sphincter was in the Senate. In the house committee Graham voted “no” with the democrats on one of the articles that never got to the floor for a vote.
Yeah, I’m shocked... /s
Are you sure it was Lindsey Graham they were talking about?
He was a Rep at the time and one of the house managers that worked in support of the impeachment. He was not in the senate at that time so he could not have voted as you stated.
A link and you can see how senators voted on impeachment.

I thought you were talking no vote in the Senate.
Graham is a rank-and-file Republican according to GovTrack’s own analysis of bill sponsorship.

Yes, he was.
What Terry Mross was talking about was where Graham voted no on Article II
Jones case perjury.
Judiciary Committee’s voting record on articles of impeachment.
Graham was the only Republican to vote no on that article.
