Can a President pardon someone in advance from any prosecution by the Congress or future DOJ?

Sure are a lot of folks on here with a LOT more faith in Americans than I now have. All the talk of folks stepping up when the socialist revolution begins. 53% of American Voters chose Obama. Americans have grown way too soft and complacent. Keep the checks rolling in and they stay fat and happy - and non-confrontational about anything except liberal causes like queers marrying each other or women murdering their unborn children.

While gun sales are dramatically up across the country, I just don’t see any meaningful “uprising” of the population. The liberals have control of the government and the military. Sorry, but my .270 isn’t much against an Abrahms or a smart bomb (just ask a bunch of Iraqis).

I agree with you. I don’t think any of President Bush’s incessant detractors could withstand even a fraction of the crap he’s taken, they would have crumpled long ago. The Rats have been out for him for eight long years, and during this campaign season they did a good job of shaping the tone and getting some Rs to take their rotten bait, either in whole or in part: reject Bush and validate our burning psychopathological hatred of him right along with us. The Rats, or anyone else, will never succeed in turning me against a good man who had a full plate from before he was even inaugurated.

I would pardon everyone for whatever including parking tickets if I was Bush.

As long as he pardons a certain pair of unjustly imprisoned border patrolmen.

Include me out of those who have faith in Americans. I'm not stupid. I relish the disproportionately hard times the enemies are in store for. I won't feel bad when bad things happen. They will mostly happen to bad people. Especially in the large blue cities.

And what about the other 47%? It's sad to say, with so many of them providing liberal relatives and friends familial and social support, it's hard to have faith in the good guys either.

I wasn't thinking of an uprising. That doesn't seem possible. You and I write words and bitch. Some people scratch their butts. There are all sorts.

One can only hope they go after the current Bush administration. While regrettable for those Republicans involved, it can only sour and distract the Dems from running their wrecking ball through everything else. I rather they held endless hearings about nothing.

The Nixon blanket pardon - for any and all acts performed while serving the Government.

Thats some ‘new tone’, eh George?

Let’s not forget that President Bush reached across the aisle numerous times before his arm was mangled to pieces by the back-stabbing soul-less dems.

Liberals do have control of government....but not the military. These are two different worldviews/cultures. I refuse to believe our military would turn its back on our Constitution. That's why, ultimately, a tyrannical government will fail. And I refuse to believe that Americans who still love freedom will acquiesce to ANY despotic demand. Sheesh, even the French had a resistance movement!

IMHO, an Obama led (conspirator or not he is their leader) leftist show trial of President Bush would signal to some that a coup is indeed underway

Hmmmm, But BO could quash subpoenas ...according to the article, Bush did when Republicans tried it against Clinton!

This was a documentary from back in 1984 or 1985. It was shown in France and that is why you see the subtitles.

We were warned, but not many paid attention. I think Reagan did a lot to slow this down, but since him...well, you see where we are now.

I would have pardoned those border patrol agents a long time ago if I were President. They had better be on the Presidential pardon list after the outright scum that Clinton pardoned like Marc Rich. They were doing their job and should have been pardoned a long time ago.

Dick Morris went after O’Reilly last night when he was talking of Obama governing more from the middle and Morris told O’Reilly he will govern from the far left if you look at the people surrounding him. O’Reilly got this deer in the headlights look and like he was getting a headache. It was like he didn’t want to believe that Obama wasn’t who he said he was in the O’Reilly interview.

You are going to see a lot of buyer’s remorse in the days ahead not to mention there are good percentage of illegal and fraudulent votes in that 53%.

“...Obama and Biden are bringing a civil war to the US.”

More like an ideological war,but with real weapons.

The Democrat’s should forget about Bush and acknowledge how Democratic corruption in Fannie and Freddie led to the banking crisis (yeah, right). In fact, Bush and McCain had worked against the Democrats to try to prevent the banking crisis.

Another Freeper mentioned this story and it was supposedly on the UK Telegraph newspaper which is one of the biggest papers in the UK. I read your link and saw API or African Press International who had the “Michelle” tape and git ill. API is a joke but I think this muslim Kenyan man is out there in the UK.
