Actually, it occurred to me they want a stock market crash. At least to 6000 or so,because they want your 401K. They will promise to give you back early September money and 3% a year. Most people will take it because they have loss so much. Of course, they will never see the last 50% of their money again. It will go to the crapper like everything else the government touches.

I sure hope they go for it. We'd have them looking nasty and mean spirited, which is what they are, and the swing voters would be disgusted even if the media tried to make it sound like the hearings had a real purpose. Plus, it would keep the losers in Congress from doing too much damage. Anything that keeps them from "solving" our problems for us is good for just about every working person in the country.
