WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as a dictator.
Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

Anybody remember Brown Shirts???

And I remember how quickly it happened and how easy it was to intimidate the entire population. In every country in which similar populations were intimidated the task was easy and done quickly with little meaniful opposition, easily eliminated.
“Which troll was that?”
A long time FReeper known as The_Republican. He drank the Obama Kool Aid and voted for him. Jim exterminated him and I think he’s playing over at DU now.
When? I just read one of the sob’s posts not 10 minutes ago.
I started to respond but figured why waste my time.
one that will make America devolve into anarchy/revolution

They are already setting the stage to blame any revolution or opposition on hatred and racism. And the screaming tearful worshippers will eat it up and buy into it.
If there can be a ground game in place that's used to mobilize people to vote, why can't that same model be used to mobilize people to stand guard, like a neighborhood watch sort of thing when Obama's thugs come calling.
Obama, Marxist. Sky, blue. Fish, swim. Stating the obvious.
Just the type of cry we need to rally around. The heck with the counter-attack sure to follow. We must show a unified front and NOT back down! God if only more politicians would speak the truth!
There are MILLIONS of us conservatives and we cannot be stopped if we will only start moving. A right-wing juggernaut if you will. The country (some do not even realize it) is craving a true leader of strong morals and principle.
People who have positions to which the facts are unkind tend to attack those who argue based upon them.

Poor judgement on the part of Broun. The honeymoon for Bamba will be lengthy and talk like this sounds like sour grapes, even if it is true. It will NOT resonate with average Americans.
A much better plan is to hunker down for a while and wait until Ding Dong starts making serious judgement errors and gaffes and call him out on policy principles.
And if the republicans actually muster the testosterone to do THAT in any meaningful way that gets press coverage, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Funny how easy it is to ignore subjects that one finds distasteful or a waste of time. There are literally hundreds of threads here I ignore each day.
I’m still waiting for those who cautioned that we need to ignore the alarmism and Obama’s past malfeasance to “concentrate on the real issues” to step forward and identify those issues we missed.
Dugg!
I could not disagree more.
EC,
Have you ever had Rep Broun on your blog talk radio show? Sounds like he’d be a fantastic guest!
Virgil Goode and Michelle Bachmann will be quickly forgotten by the KosNazis. Paul Broun is Target #1 for 2010.
I second that thought
Almost half of America did not vote for this man. If they could be convinced that it’s not over, that they don’t have to swallow every liberal pill, they would probably want to be involved.
But I think the American people need a goal. If conservatives could get the word out that the GOP is already starting to plan for 2010 elections, that people need to be involved if we are to take our government back and stop Obama’s agenda, they may participate. And the movement would shed daylight on all of the libs secret dealings.
Should start with Coleman. We should already be protesting there that they keep “coming up with votes.” This was supposed to be a recount, not a treasure hunt.
The_Republican will be back. Probably with a back-dated name set aside for precisely this occasion.
They always come back. But they can’t change their style, their temperament, their vocabulary, their mannerisms or their talking points.
The smarter ones avoid the personal battles and pull back before they take things too far. Sinkspur wasn’t one of the smarter ones. Neither was The_Republican.
Strategerist (formerly John HK) should conduct a seminar and show these guys how it’s done. He’s quite good at walking the tightrope.
PALIN/BROUN!!!!! LOL
