I would never suggest being Democrat lite, nor pandering to special interest groups. That’s how we lost CO.

We still need to work with conservative Hispanics, just as we do with black conservatives and Jewish conservatives to help grow our party as much as we can. We may never be able to compete with socialistic give away’s the Democrats offer but we can do better stressing liberty, freedom, a market economy and patriotism.

There are more than 3 million waiting overseas to gain entrance because we have annual caps on various categories of immigrants. If you take off those caps, we will have far more people entering than the 1.2 million LEGAL immigrants who enter each year and they will sponsor even more LEGAL immigrants thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification. Immigration accounts for two-thirds of the population growth in this country.

If immigration continues at current levels, the nation’s population will increase from 305 million today to 468 million in 2060 — a 163 million (56 percent) increase. Immigrants plus their descendents will account for 105 million (63 percent) of the increase. The total projected growth of 167 million is equal to the combined populations of Great Britain, France, and Spain. The 105 million from immigration by itself is equal to 13 additional New York Cities.

Immigrants account for one in eight U.S. residents, the highest level in 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade it will be one in 7, the highest in our history and by 2050, it will be one in 5.

If we have an amnesty, not only with the 12 to 20 million illegals be granted legal status, they will be able to sponsor another 66 million to 100 million more legal immigrants. This country will be destroyed with the stroke of a pen.

Podesta “accelerate the use of that money” [ bail-out bucks, thanks Democrat Congress ]

Podesta “ the economy has been bad for 8 years, tax cuts for the very rich “ [ wow, this idiot will raise taxes right away ]

Podesta “doesn’t mean all Troops will be removed from Iraq” [ BlackHawk Down the Model for this Military Blunder? ]

McCain is not a real conservative. He is the party maverick who campaigned against his own party. He supports amnesty, a cap and trade system to address global warming, more federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, and limiting political free speech. He is against drilling in Anwr. Most Reps, conservatives or otherwise don’t support those positions. Many of us had to hold our noses to vote for the maverick.

It'll be mighty interesting to see how the "rich" react to having to be punished for their success by having to pay more taxes for Obama's socialistic programs.

They have means for getting around the taxes - like tax-free municipals (Obama's solution for himself), off-shore bank accounts (Bill Clinton's solution)...It's interesting what happened in France when Mitterand was elected President. He had all sorts of plans to tax the rich, tax businesses and/or take them over. So billions of francs a day were going out of the country as the businesses transferred their assets and operations abroad; and Mitterand had to revise his whole program to try to entice the businesses back.

Listening to Meet the Depressed — Martinez talks about Republican governors who have accomplished leadership — mentions Jindal and Daniels, does not mention Palin. He needs replacing — NOW!!

If the RNC tells the states that their delegations will not be recognized if they conduct “open” primaries, that naive practice will end in a big hurry.

BTW watch the Dems do away with open primaries in the wake of Operation Chaos.

Astounding! Has any President-elect pretended to an “Office”?

Is it that he can’t bear not having the title, so he invented it, or that he believes enough of his voters won’t have a clue?

I had hopes that Obama’s team would be more knowledgeable about protocol and laws, that this transition wouldn’t be as chaotic as the Clintons.’ That perhaps we wouldn’t have debacles like the Christmas tree ornaments made from condoms and non-vetted staffers entering the White House. Now, I’m not so sure.

Boycott Fox. I’m serious. Take up a hobby such as painting or tennis or something like that.

“Many of us had to hold our noses to vote for the maverick.”

Yes I did (hold my nose). When he slipped out as the nominee, I almost fainted, unbelievable. So now we just have to decide, will we learn a hard placed lesson, or not? And the more the merrier, to our party-—Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, (still can’t believe they voted 2:1 Obama), Jewish, et al.

I have no idea of his sexual preferences. We are talking about how they show the explicit sexual side of the gay lifestyle on their the TV show: House, Bones, etc.

I am doing just that. In fact, I’m catching up on my reading now that the tube is silent. “Look for the blessing.” as my mom always says.

I’m on my way out to church, everyone! Love the discussion. I think I might be hooked on FreeRepublic! :-)

Cynthia Tucker wants the O to immediately drop the blockade against Cuba.

That would certainly be very popular. /s

That's "H", not "O".

Middle initial, just like "Dubya".
