Largest Post Election Dow Point Drop in U.S. History
On Air... | 11/06/08 | Limbaugh

The current two day drop of the DJIA figure is the largest post election crash in U.S. History.

The DJIA figure was off 915.92 a few minutes ago, that's 9.5% since Obama became President elect.

Pundits who just days ago were saying that U.S. Citizens had more faith in Obama when it related to the economy are now having to hurriedly work up stories reassuring the public that this drop isn't related to public fear that Obama is not up to the task of managing the current economic problems.

And the drilling ban will no doubt be reinstated.

Yes it is Zero’s fault along with the help of Pelo$i, Barnie, Dodd & Reid the Dead and other top rats in Congress who rammed through the so called bailout.

I was layed off last week, and Obama is President. I can expect more unemployment benefits, a couple stimulus checks, and an easier life on my ass than waking up and going to work every morning for almost a year. Kinda makes me wonder how much easier all those people that dont work, and dont pay taxes, are going to have it under Obama.

I want to sell all our market investments (not much money to many here but enough to help us when we need it) because of my fear of end of markets and rise of socialism; but our financial adviser says NO.

I want to end our long term care insurance too because we can get on Medicaid and we have no heirs. We have decided not to fight socialism but give in and take advantage of govt handouts. (Not sure that I can do this, but I'm telling all my progressive friends that I am.)

That’s okay. I am buying oil at its low point. When the market spikes I ride it all the way up along with gold and silver and other commodities.

I’d like to see a website/ping list detailing every possible way to save dollars. Alternative products, wholesale/direct-to-manufacturer ordering sites, etc. Kill businesses like CVS and Walgreens and the effect will be felt.

well....I’ve ordered the book! Does that count?

Oh yeah!...my plan this week is to re-examine withholding so I do not give the marxists a loan plus interest.

A raise is coming, and now we’ve got to figure out the best way to maximize deductions and credits.

I have to make better use of the flexible spending account.
That will help.

Check this out, touching on the figures on the fifth only.

I believe the source was Reuters. They actually covered it pretty well for the single day.

Some in the media were playing the two day loss up as the worst two day loss since October of 1987. All hands on deck were bailing with buckets to keep anyone from thinking this could have had anything to do with a guy named Obama, or what he has promised to do.

Of course they still played up Bush complicity. His policies caused this. No mention of the bad loans the Democrats forced. Par for the course. History rewritten while you wait.

If McCain/Palin were President/VP Elect, do you think the media would have given them a pass?

I am trying to figure out what specific policies they are alluding to.

I know Bush/CONGRESS spent like crazy but the seeds for this specific meltdown were planted while he was still drinking adult beverages and germinated while he was governor of Texas.

Also has the press even read the Constitution, specifically Article I and II. Again what executive order written by Bush turned the economy south? America has a dictator with UNLIMITED power without Checks and Balances as well as oversight. Wow, who knew.

I have ended contributions to my 401k. Any "investing" I do now is entirely wealth preservation. Purchasing precious metals for example. I also intend to intensify debt repayment for my investment property.

From now on my personal consumption will no longer fund any company or individual that supported this Marxist. Unions and illegal alien supporters are the first on the list.

And I am planning on having another child. Maybe we can out breed the looter class.

SELL BABY SELL! Sell before the inauguration.

Wrong date. Sell before Dec 31. Tax year (for Obama) will be retroactive to ALL of 2009 - even though his budget year won't start until Oct 1, 2009.

Of course, he/Frank/Schumer/Kennedy/Pelosi will try to find some way to TAX as if your sales were from their August 2008 values, and the receipts were delivered a bit later - say in January, 2009.

I agree. I will say this. Bush is NOT responsible for this mess. However, he is responsible for not screaming to high heavens before the meltdown. So is everyone else in Washington.
