Vanity: Fox News Says Palin Did Not Know Africa Was Continent, Not Country
Fox News | 11/05/08 | vanity

Carl Cameron just said McCain campaign shocked to discover Sarah Palin did not realize Africa was a continent, believing instead that it was a country. She did not know the countries in NAFTA. She refused offered preparation for the Couric interview and threw temper tantrums over adverse press.

Wow. Dumping on Sarah in a big way. Shep asked how on Earth the McCain camp could have ended up picking such a dope (not exact words, but sense of what he said).

They did point out she seemed to help the polling numbers.

I knew this was going to be the template, but I was surprised at the level of nastiness on Fox News. Looks like elements of the McCain campaign is determined to make her the scapegoat for the loss. (Couldn't have been anything about the man at the top of the ticket.)

“I’m starting the search for a real conservative right now.”

LOL, yeah the media will create somebody out of fairy dust like they did with Obama.

Frontrunners are set: Palin, Romney
Jindal and Pawlenty will try to breakthrough.

Donna, you didn’t support Palin because your personal belief that a women with children shouldn’t be working.

Anyway, the reality is the 4 above and there might be a new name or two out there at a Governor’s mansion.

I heard the report on Fox as well. She appeared before staff in a bathrobe, quel horreur!
It had the stench of lies, spewed out of spite and resentment, and I don’t think any of it will stick.
And I say that as someone who wasn’t exactly thrilled when McCain picked her. She was a rookie. But she was the finest damned rookie since Dimaggio stepped up.
And if she got short-tempered, a governor accustomed to sane and competent assistants and a rational agenda every day against basically sane and understandable opponents....suddenly in a maelstrom of hysterical, hateful, maniacal enemies, would anyone else have been more composed than she?
Remember, there were people saying she had faked her pregnancy, people condemning her daughter, people deploring the very existence of her baby and saying he should have been killed, and people calling for her to be raped and murdered.
Palin was a paragon of restraint and class, through all that. Unforgiveable!

“Support Palin in 2012 and you’ll get more of what you got yesterday.”

I have to respectfully disagree here...somewhat. The campaign was stuck in the mud prior to Palin. It got nudged out right after she hit the campaign trail.

Her only problem is that she wasn’t ‘polished’. She just seemed *a little* out of her league a few times during the debates with Biden. Her “gaffes” were blown out of proportion, but the best way to avoid that is to simply not make them. She’s for real as a person and politician, but I agree with you that she has some work to do if she has any chance to make a run in 2012.

“Thanks for cutting straight to the point. Some of the crap I’m reading on this thread is unbelievable! SARAH PALIN IS THE ONLY REASON THAT MCCAIN GOT ANY VOTES! You RINOs know that is the truth! STFU!”

#####

One has to wonder at the preponderance of true DU-type trolls, versus never-was conservatives frightened by the prospect of authentic, rock-ribbed conservatism on the march, with the redoubtable Sarah of Arc at the head of the battle column.

I remember when Mittens actually announced he wasn’t asked for information and knew he wasn’t being considered for VP. His nose was so bent out of shape about it and he was looking for the Fox talking head to respond incredulously.

Thankfully, then didn’t and just blew past his indiscretion.

Willard-the-Palin-stabber Romney is finished.

Conservatives MIGHT have handled that he is a liar,
and a shape-shifter.

They MIGHT have swallowed that he is smart in that he
steals from the federal teat using socialism.

But he is a backstabber like the leper in Braveheart,
and a Judas to Gov. Palin and her family — and America.

Support Palin in 2012 and you’ll get more of what you got yesterday.

Which Republican do you think would have carried Wisconsin yesterday if he or she had been the party's Presidential Candidate?

Make no mistake people, this is not McCain. This is the GOP CountryClubber pack of paid staffers, who want to swill wine with the KStreet sophisticates.

McCain better come out and defend her and put an end to this BS

I’ll admit she did not answer that artfully, but remember, Couric and CBS culled several hours of interview down to minutes....her worst minutes.

As I have heard her explain other places, it wasn’t a question of “being close” to Russia, but being commander in chief of the Alaska NG, a unit unique in that it’s responsible for our new missile defense. That’s a big deal, and it’s Russia who has the missiles that would be shot down over Alaska.

Anyway, name another state in the USA which has two foreign nations as neighbors, and not other American states adjoining it. Due to geography, an Alaskan governor is obviously going to be more involved in “foreign affairs” than any other governor. Fishery treaties, navigation rights, boundaries of oil drilling fields...this all winds up on an Alaskan governor’s desk. The same cannot be said about the governor of any other US state.

Well put and right on the money.

Who knows. I am always disappointed to hear something that seems so contrary to everything we already know about a person.

Then don't believe it, because it's not true. The media just twists people into whichever shape they want them, and everyone falls for it. Disturbing.

Fits my opinion of Fox.

Carl “Buzz Lightyear” Cameron is about as light weight as they come, and dumber than a toilet seat if he thinks he has any credibility.

I don’t support Sarah Palin because she is a socialist, like all Feminists. She is a big government Republican, a RINO.

The fact that she neglects her young children shocks me but it is to be expected of a Feminist.
