When you lose an election like we just did, it brings out the best those family, friends, and acquaintences of yours who don't share your political beliefs.
In 2004, I tried my best not to gloat at all because I understood that for many of our opponents, politics is their religion and to watch Kerry lose, it was like watching a family member die. I get no pleasure in being a jackass and trying to rub salt into people's wounds.
Liberals generally have no such reservations, so I'm sure we've all gotten an earful today.
So let's start a thread for posting some of the dumbest things people have said to us today at the advent of Obamanation. It might be the kind of thing we can look back on in 2010 or 2012 and say, "Oh yeah, I forgot what that little snot said."
Yep, hm how come that sounds familiar? Oh yeah, Bubba pulled that stunt was it the 2nd month or the third month in office. We should run a freeper pool and see how long it takes Obama to address the nation about this.
I got into a discourse with a friend of mine via text messages.
She started it with “just wanted 2 say...YES WE CAN!”
I replied with “...destroy the last remaining bastion of freedom left on earth. Hope you enjoy paying 60% taxes ‘cause I sure as hell won’t.”
To which I get this response: “At least the W. Bush presidential library won’t cost too much to build. Coloring books aren’t that expensive.”
I think I pissed her off when I replied “and the legacy for ‘The Messiah’ would be what? He got the job via affirmative action?” because then she turned it personal and told me to move to Texas because “[I’d] be around folks more full of shit than [me].” Nice, eh?
I had a black co-worker be very solicitous to me and then she said “I’m so glad that my 90 year old grandmother could see this—she went from not being able to vote to seeing a black man as president.” When I pointed out to her that her grandmother had ALWAYS been able to vote, her attitude changed and she got incredibly angry.
She was later making personal calls to her family saying she had tried to call them all night, but the phones were busy, just like on New Year’s Eve....
Wonder how long it will be before the bloom comes off the rose?

In my many years of experience, skin color usually trumps..period.

Interesting observations. Sadly, the vegan lady I wrote about is a dyed-in-the-wool leftist with no such latent conservatism. I wish I could find an avenue through which to reach her. She's a highly educated woman but is dismissive of anything that doesn't correspond to her world view.
The moral high road of veganism certainly applies to her. She has boasted to that she's more moral than Jesus or Moses because they were meat eaters. She's horrified and in near tears at the docking of a dog's tail, but doesn't bat an eye about abortion.
I work at a major northeast state university. I wore black and informed all of my fellow faculty members that I would be available for gloating purposes for the rest of the week if they were unable to find any other Republicans.
One Associate Professor said, “Now the rest of the world will stop hating us.” My reply: And the big increase in business taxes will force companies to run more efficiently which will help with global warming.
Another full Professor remarked, “Now we can solve global warming.” I simply nodded my head while thinking what a fool this educated man was.
Just my first chance to josh since I got out of “remember to be respectful” prison.

My coworker who is a manic depressive, hypochondriac, middle-aged white woman asked me how I was doing this morning, I told her that I was upset because a socialist won as our president. She said she didn’t hear that on the news, I asked her if she heard of Obama, an and she replies, “That is ignorant.”

I work in a bank in Orange County, CA. Not a lot of foot traffic today, but those that came in were all very depressed. There was not a single happy person today.
I expect that attitude will be universal, especially in the North....it may not go down too well in the South.
My brother said, "I'm pissed", and my sweet daughter called me last night to see if I were OK. I'm retired, so I don't have to see many folks.
My younger sister has delayed having children until a “free health care” democrat is in office!
I want to shake her ‘til her teeth rattle.
She confided to other other sister that she and her husband will be “trying” now.
