I find the Fairness Doctrine idea repugnant, but this is NOT the 1970's. With Internet and satellite radio they can survive, not to mention that I would expect a huge court fight over it. The day that the FD is signed would be the day I bought a satellite radio receiver, and I know that just about everyone here would do the same -- not only for ourselves, but for anyone we knew who listened to them. Sat radio receivers would become THE hot Christmas gift.

Good idea. Our IL gun laws (pardon my un-ladylike phrasing) suck hardcore. Do you know most ranges in the Chicago area won't even let you shoot if you don't have a FOID card? By order of the state police! Yes, the "O" stands for OWNER, but the IL police never let a little thing like the law stand in their way.

I think Sarah will be back, a lot can happen in 4 years and she may well be Gov of the only state in the union to go unaffected by the incoming Obama depression.

I know, I feel bad for him, he said the kids talk like this in school. I’ve raised him with a strong sense of being color-blind. Taken him to other countries starting at a young age, not to mention I was born over-seas with half of our family still in Europe. (Been able to share with him my mother’s Franco stories).

He is a very open minded kid, so it’s a serious insult for someone to say that to him. But, I need to remind him to ignore people who say that - the only people who talk like that are the ones who are not color blind and thinking about race too much and not the issues. It starts young, doesn’t it.
