You couldn’t be any more spot on with your comments.

Living in what has now become the welfare capital of America. Cuyahoga County. if you look at some of the local/state issues you wouldn’t be suprised.

Somehow, Dennis Kucinich wins his Congressional seat. AGAIN.

Attorney General Marc Dann’s replacement, Richard Courdray is winning by something like 85-15. Again, Dann resigned his position in disgrace but it didn’t matter.

Another attempt to get casinos in Ohio failed again. Why, because adding 10,000 jobs gives the opportunity to take 10,000 people off of welfare. But in the welfare capital of America, where everyday is the weekend, that couldn’t be allowed to happen.

2 out of 3 Cuyahoga County commissoners are involved in a federal investigation. The one who isn’t involved, Peter Lawson Jones, is beating his Republician opponent 65%-35%.. It really doesn’t matter that Cuyahoga County spent 45% of our local tax dollars on entitlements, and that 1 in 3 working aged residents get some kind of taxpayer funded support.

I could go on, OK, I will. The last time Cleveland was any good. Where jobs were good paying and weekends only lasted 2 days, and where maybe 10% of residents were paid not to work, a fella by the name of George Vonivich was mayor. That was 1981.

Since, with more than 25 years of complete Democratic control we see what has happened. I owning a grocery store am on the frontlines. I know who works and who doesn’t. If I dare try to tell one of them to work. I get laughed at. And if I try to make issue of it to any leaders, it is dismissed as me not being knowledable of the situation.

Then there are the having kids to get more money crowd. We are very proud of having a 17 year old mother of SEVEN living in our county. See it makes to much sense for the school leaders to go into the schools and tell the kids, if you have a child we’re done taking care of them. But no, generation after generation of welfarers go unchecked, and then the eldest get Social Security that they didn’t even fund with their own tax dollars.

Meanwhile those of us who still work see more taken away from us. It has to stop sometime. But tonight didn’t provide that opportunity.

Pray very hard for America. We really need it now!

Pelosi and her gang will call this a mandate

Reid already did tonight. And don't forget; after Bubba won is first term in 1992, with 43% of the popular vote, Newsweek had their cover with his face and one word...

MANDATE!

LMAO! Thanks!

I thought of SCTV about a minute after I posted. Great minds...

Come to think of it, Bob and Doug McKenzie would be great calling the results...and more credible.

Retro, I have Center Ice and have turned the TV over to hockey. I’m watching 3 hockey games right now to take my mind off the crap going on. I agree with you on the nation being divided. I was talking to someone today about how we will go through something similar to the Meech Lake Accords in Canada back in 1990. I am going to the gun shop between now and Jan 20th... Al Qaeda is partying tonight...

Like I thought. He'll be the first minority President since Clinton. What kept the election from becoming a blowout is there was no Ross Perot to suck away votes from the GOP. When you consider everything that happened, to be almost dead even in an environment as hostile as can be for Republicans is a true miracle. I'd rather have us be in the minority so the Democrats can take their fatuous talk of a mandate and find how much the country really wants it. Take that Nancy and Dingy Harry!

Say prayers for our men and women in the military, my FRiends.

Especially those who are going to be on the ground as Obama pulls the troops out of Iraq.

“Reid and Nancy speaking in DC about an historic mandate!”

If either one of those two idiots hears a fart on the breeze they’ll say it’s a historic mandate. Their announcements mean nothing.

Watching the local news and it looks like Shays is giving a concession speech. My heart is breaking...not! It also looks like the Commies in this state have defeated Question 1 and passed Question 2. Unbelievable!!!!!!

Crap, CT commies defeated Question 1 and passed #2? Sh*t! This state has gone to the dogs.

For the first time ever this year, my husband and I have seriously considered moving out of CT and heading to a Red State. Jobs and family won't allow us at this point. Someday... I am SO sick of living among commies.

Well, now we have all 'RAT Congress critters in this state. I don't see where having RAT Congressmen is a good thing. In CT they'll end up being there for life... we'll most likely never see another Republican, and certainly not a conservative. I know he's a RINO, but least Shays voted with the Pubbies some of the time...

Virginia just went to Obama. I think they're about to call Florida for the Marxist. Hume and Karl Rove talking about the Fairness Doctrine, which is sure to be put in place by this unbelievable 'RAT majority. This is unreal.

One thing to come away from this whole mess, it always bothered me that we were hanging our hats on the weakest anecdotal crap...PUMA's, Bradley Effect, yard signs etc...next time disregard this nonsense. It's ironic that this thread is mirroring the one at DU 4 years ago that started off giddy with everyone reporting HUGE turnout in dem precincts, no turnout in rep precincts, everyone THEY know is voting for Kerry, then having the rug come out when the returns started coming in...

None of that stuff mattered, so 4 years from now don't get caught up in it.
