Gallup does not norm for party ID, that’s why their poll is volatile.

Pollsters which do not reach cellphones (Ras, Hotline, Battleground) all have O +4 / O +6 results; on the other hands those companies which claim to reach cell phone users (Pew, Gallup, ABC) have Obama leading by double digits.
If they are right, polling for 2010 and 2012 will have to be done completely differently.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEIN played a free outdoor concert before introducing Obama in Ohio.
Any comments now?

For Hussein to even tie Reagan’s 49 states he’ll have to win 56 of 57 states.

Without party breakdowns, both polls are worthless. He moves up 8+ during the weekend? I don't buy it.

I was becoming concerned that everyone would converge in at 6. With polls all over the place, someone is going to be VERY wrong this time around. Perhaps so shockingly wrong that McCain wins this.. The differences cannot be chalked up to mere sampling noise.

Unbelievable. I thought Gallup would adjust to reality just before the election. They are so hosed, what idiots.

There is a reason CNN dropped Gallup as an election polling partner after 2004. In 04 Gallup said Kerry would win Florida and Ohio handily and Bush would win Wisconsin and Pennsylvania handily. Those were the 4 big toss-ups and they got them all wrong. But I’m sure they have improved!!!

This is about the same news the pollsters handed the popular GA Jimmy in 1980, and he has been sore ever since.

Columbus OH news: Palin in Ohio today, a crowd of 3500 Obama in Ohio today, a crowd of 65,000

Obama visits LARGE urban cities and has free entertainment, Palin and McCain concentrate on small rural counties....

I think you're going to have to come up with a different line of spin, pardner. Pew's final poll was released today at 52-46.

That's BS. Its not 10+ in party ID, if that's true. In the Dems best year, 2006, they were up by 4+. So where is Gallup finding 6% more Dems in their poll?

A large share of the Oprah-Obama boosters do not know that there are officially fifty states. Nor do they know the number of counties in their state.

No way is this true - I only trust Mason-Dixon, Fox and IBD/TIPP polls where we’re all within 3 pts All other are bs with no weight. Also it’s all about EC votes not national so

C’mon Let’s NOT have a meltdown - when people freak out like this it only gives ammo to the rats viewing this board.
So let’s chill out

Again, there is no way to determine this polling without more data....that in itself is suspect. I don’t buy it one bit. NO way Obama has gained 8 pts on a weekend....and never has he made it to 55.....dream on Gallop.....
