A Pennsylvania lawsuit alleging that Barack Obama is not a “natural-born citizen” of the United States took an unusual twist this week, after a federally mandated deadline requiring Obama’s lawyers to produce a “vault” copy of his birth certificate expired with no response from Obama or his lawyers.
The lawsuit, filed by former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Philip J. Berg — a self-avowed supporter of Hillary Clinton — alleges that Barack Obama was born in Kenya and is thus “ineligible” to run for president of the United States. It demands that Obama’s lawyers produce a copy of his original birth certificate to prove that he is a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Berg's suit and allegations have set off a wave of Internet buzz and rumors, though Obama could easily have put the matter to rest by providing the federal court with the basic documentation proving he is eligible to take the oath of a president. But Obama has apparently decided to deny the court and the public that documentation.
The Constitution provides that any U.S. citizen is eligible to become president if the person is 35 years of age or older and is a natural-born citizen; that is, born in the territorial United States.

It’s discouraging. At the same time- we have to realize that the kinds of people who have associated themselves with the task of showing Obama to be an unsuitable candidate- are themselves of questionable background.
Berg - whatever else he may be, is a 9/11 truther. For that reason ALONE it was hard for me, who believes Obama has lied about his birth, to take him seriously.
I’ve long since written Andy Martin off.. He’s an embarrassment to himself and to opponents of Obama.
Corsi- a little more credible- but again, he comes back from his trip full of promises of breaking news and he, too, fizzles.
There’s much to be learned from Berg’s case, and there’s still time for one of these other suits to go forward.

Nope.
In the first place one actually can get a passport without a birth certificate.
In the second place Hawaii will issue a Hawaiian BC to a foreign born child upon adoption by Hawaiian parents, with the adoptive parents listed as birth parents.
This is why seeing the vault copy is an issue.
Politics make strange bedfellows. Obama will drop Biden and annoint Hillary assuring him a second term along with his ACORN buddies. Hillary will then be next up and her victory will be all but ensured with the changing demographics of the country and an amnesty. We could be seeing a Dem president for generations.

The thing folks need to face is that this WAS checked out by the McCain campaign.
It’s a non story.
And - as you point out - the folks getting behind wingnuts like Berg just reduce this site and conservatives to the caricature the Left loves to paint of us.
For questioning this nonsense I, a Navy vet and strong conservative, have been called a non-patriot, serf, peasant, sissy etc. ON THIS SITE.

If he was born anywhere but in the US or it's territories, no. He meets the current requirements to be a citizen. At the time he was born he did not meet the minimum requirements to be a citizen under the laws in effect at the time. Under the laws passed later, depending on the interpretation, he could be a citizen at birth, assuming an ex post facto law is valid.
BUT the phrase "natural born citizen" does not have a clear legal definition at this time, and a foreign born citizen may or may not met that threshold.
This has been my point all along. And this as well: Obama can claim not to be muslim, but MUSLIMS say he IS muslim, and that's what really matters, because he is indeed muslim. Obama has not only publically claimed he is not a muslim, but he rejected his muslim heritage and upbringing in Indonesia and converted to Christianity. He was even baptised by Rev. Wright, wasn't he? Muslims would have no choice but to view him as an infidel in accordance with the koran. Having the infidel Obama as president of the US would give them more reason to attack us.
They all stepped up though.

I do need to reassert what I said in my post- I DO believe Obama is LYING outright about his birth. I am convincedof that- beyond a reasonable doubt.
What’s worrisome to me is that no truly reputable person has been willing to take this on. The list of unknowns about Barack OBama is endless- and that includes the murkiness of his bith certificate(s).
My sense is that people who may have been willing to take these questions head on have watched the intimidation and the cries of racism leveled at those who have questioned this man. It’s disquieting.
Why would 0bama go through all this effort to avoid spending $10 to get an unquestionable copy of his BC to the judge?

Why can’t you consider that there may be a very good reason reasonable people aren’t pursuing it?

This standing thing is a weak excuse for not perusing this. Every American has “standing” when it comes to being affected by the actions of a President of the United States who turns out to be disqualified for office by the U.S. Constitution.
Saw it.
It’s disappointing, but both SirFishalot’s wife and the judge have grasped and framed the issue well. They both saw this ruling coming......
but the battle ain’t over.
