First, a pre-emptive apology for the intentional non-humor to follow. I promise that all future non-humor will be strictly unintentional.
We've all witnessed a lot of insanity in American politics over the last few years. Up until the last few days, none of it has seriously bothered me; hey, just more grist for the satire mill. But after witnessing the media's blitzkreig on Joe 'the Plumber' Wurzelbacher, I can only muster anger, and no small amount of fear...
With a small amount of paraphrasing and a few concrete examples of the harrassment of Joe, this would make an excellent letter to your local editor.
I AM MRS. JOE
I am JOSEPHINE the PLUMBER!!!
(picture please...)
Hmmm. Thought provoking.
Call me Joeli!
LOL!
Hello Josephine,
How do you do
I am Joe the Plumber!
> I am Joe the Plumber!
Today, we’re all plumbers.
My husband is a small business owner, and so was my father. I don’t relate at all to various elitists in the media, Manhattan, academia, the legal profession, but certainly understand how millions of Joe the Plumbers and their families feel. It’s time for a plunger revolution, I think.
I am Joe the Plumber.
And I have the right to say what I believe.
I am Joe the Plumber - and I think about more important things than the reporter who calls himself "objective" or the politician who calls himself "liberal" even dreams of.From mundane things like the fact that an increase of a tax from 36% to 39% is an increase of "only" 3% of the taxable income - but viewed as a percentage of Joe's after tax income on it is a tax increase of 3% divided by 64% or nearly 4.7%, all the way up to the meaning of life.
When "Joe" Biden says that there are no rich plumbers in his neighborhood he doesn't account for American experience encapsulated in the story of the homeowner who was happy having his plumbing fixed but was outraged when given the bill. He exclaimed, "That's crazy! My doctor doesn't make that much per hour!" The plumber replied, "Neither did I, when I was a doctor!"
I suppose you don't like Iranian caviar & French wine either?! /sarcasm!
I'm with you and the millions of other Joe the Plumbers/& wives.
Thank you! I’ll pass it along. :)
lol
All the talking-heads, these lamestream media idjuts in the tank for "that one" trying to destroy this man -- it won't work. WE won't let them. I've been posting on other threads: It's the "spread the wealth" answer, stupid.
It was bad enough 0bama let slip his ideology that way, but more than idiotic for him, his campaign and willing lamestream accomplices to be doing this to a regular American who simply took an opportunity when presented. They have wakened a sleeping giant all right, this is ticking people off big time. I gotta believe there are still more of us regular Americans than there are those elitist-snobs, I just gotta.
Thanks, Iowahawk.
I AM JOE.
ping to post 49
I happened to have had this one in the files. :)
Sweet! LOLOLOL
I'd go back to Dennis Miller's characterization. The Democrats are offering us a lawyer married to a lawyer. The Republicans offer us a war hero married to a cute babe with a beer distributorship. Case closed.
You are showing your age! (I am too because I knew who those folks are, and remember watching the show!)
And I am Joe, too.
