Gawd now I will have to vote for McCain:).
OK, that’s about the cutest soldier-and-puppy picture EVER!
Praying for your hubbie.
Much appreciated .... he is scheduled to come home in November .... yay!!!!
Wisdom? Haha! If I detailed how much I spent on that Taurus you would think your Escort was a bargain! But I guess wisdom is like good judgment. It comes from experience. And experience comes from bad judgment...
We both learned the hard way. I did not explain why I bought the 1993 Accord. I had a 1991 Accord for 14 months prior to that, and I got t-boned directly on the driver’s side. I walked away, although the car was totaled. When I went to the Honda dealer, I only wanted to know the difference between the 1991 and 1993. The salesman started with “well, the door reinforcements are strengthened...” “Let’s go write it up.” The one thing I knew was superior in the old model had been improved!
This thread brings back memories.
I had a Hyundai precis and towards the end of its life it was running on three cylinders.
91 Fwy b/t Corona and Anaheim, My car would top out at about 45. (35 up hill.) L.S.S, people would pass me and flip me off.
Worst car? My parents old 80 something Buick Century would be a frontrunner(”sudden acceleration” was very real with that car), but the worst car has to be the 79 or so Mercury Cougar I drove for several years. It was never the same after I hit an even older pickup truck that ran a stop sign. It would pull hard right, forcing me to turn the steering wheel left to keep the car on the road. It got scary when the car suddenly decided that it wanted to pull hard left, usually into the path of oncoming traffic. It took quick reflexes to avoid further accidents with that old beater.
In 1972 I Bought a 1972 Buick special used with 13,000 Miles . The Seats were covered in Plastic... The Buick special was The Car of the Year in 1962.. The steering took like 2 revolutions to turn a Corner and the Ball Joints went out twice in one and a half years I had it!What a Car...
Should Read 1962 Buick special!! I bought real cheap...for HS
Good evening, Taz...((HUGS))...mid 30s today and MELTING!!! Supposed to freeze over night....another icy drive.
How’s your kitten?
Home safe and sound. Streets are sloppy wet from major melting. More ice in the morning.
Good job, rottndog! d:o)
How was your haircut???
:)
Molly
The worst car in the history of the universe had to be the AMC Alliance/Encore (hatchback version). It was produced between 1984 and 1987. My dad bought one and it was a L - E - M - O - N. But hey, it was Motor Trend Magazine’s Car of the Year! I still give that mag a raspberry when I see it in a rack at the store.
Good evening, Molly. My haircut went well. It is short and grows really fast, so this is a monthly tradition. LOL!!
Did you have a good day? Weather? All day above freezing here, so street snow is all melted and very sloppy driving. I’m thinking now I need food.
Welcome to the Canteen, CapnJack....what a horrible lemon that must have been. How long did you hang on?
She was not at my house today.
I bought kibbles and put it out for her.
Ice...EEEEk.
Lint lady is calling today.
I am in serious need of a haircut..
Her nose will lead her back.
Poor lint lady...she needs a friend.
I don’t mind the snow at all....just snow and stay cold til breakup. No thawing and freezing. UGH!
