Sounds a little like Noah’s ark.
Close ... two months after paying of the note I drive down to a car dealer. Transmission suffers EPIC failure on the lot. I got 500 bucks trade for that POS car OR I could pay 3000 to get it fixed. NEVER again.
It is. It truely is.
Lol, ok now I am officially a dinosaur even here on FR. Ok, I can live with that...I knew the day would come sooner or later. I seriously have no idea what movie you are quoting.
Puppy Love

Sweet pic Sandy!
Sounds about right. Hers developed a seal leak at 36,071 miles (warranty was for 36K and they would NOT honor the “extended” warranty—SOB’s). Then the whole tranny drops out at 40K, costing us $3200. We kept it for another two years, and when we traded it in for her VW Passat, they found more leaks developing. Got rid of it just in time.
Very sweet.
Ah the pregnant Rhino.
You’re not missing out on anything by not knowing the movie. I was just needling you. It’s rare to hear words like “rue.” That’s unfortunate, in my opinion, because so few are actually taught things like vocabulary, grammar, math, science, etc. Instead, children are instructed more on social issues and self-esteem.
Go Trabbie Go!
Regards,
In the late 60’s I had a german ford.. called Tanus. That was the biggest pile of crap. Worse, if you can believe it that a YUGO..
Cool thread, Connie!
I will have to think about this for a bit! LOL!
1985 Dodge Neon, leaked oil like a stuck pig.
Oh my eyes aargh.
Glad you liked it...of course, I wish I had the wisdom of Phathead at post #55...
I didn’t, though. I was ridiculously stupid about stuff like that. Now, I bought that Ford Escort from a huge conglomeration of dealers in Massachusetts, one member of which was Wilmington Ford. There was Wilmington Toyota. Wilmington Oldsmobile and so on. You get the idea.
These were the people that would put the ads in the papers to buy a car for “$95 down and $95 a month for Five Years...” I got one of those...er...”deals” from a heavyset guy with a plaid sports jacket, bolo tie, black cowboy hat and a large silver belt buckle.
I am not kidding you.
To this day, there can’t be anyone stupider than me at that age when it came to buying used cars. I just shake my head in amazement at myself. I’m not dumb, it is just one of those things I had no aptitude for.
If the ‘O’ wins the election in Nov we may all be driving those again.
