Joe the Plumber won!!! McCain won!!! Obama was evasive and, at times, sinister - like you could see a real angry person inside of him. Not an irritated person, like McCain waiting to get a word in, but an angry man.

McCain looked like a happy warrior ready to go ten more rounds, or ten more town halls. He showed Obama for the liar he is (backing out on campaign financing, townhalls, etc). Also, McCain called out his weasel words more than once, and looked happy doing so.

Anyone want to bet whether Obama’s denials about Ayers’ and his political debut are fact-checked tomorrow? We sure have come a long way from “he’s just a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” if the media care to notice.

Well said. McCain hit a homerun with Joe the plumber, but Krauthammer is a pundit, not an entrepreneur, so it was lost on him - he didn't realize how McCain took Obama apart on this critical issue.

Instead of whining about John Lewis, McCain should have hit hard on AYERS. Instead McCain said, "I'm not gonna talk about terrorist Ayers,blah, blah, blah.

You nailed it, he won by being on the offensive the entire night and pinning Oblack into the corner. He also wanted to get three points in, he is going to cut spending, cut taxes and reform gummit.

He got all of them in and let the people know that with Obummer they will get more spending and higher taxes. He got bonus points on the abortion question by pointing out the extreme position Ob is in.

Clear win by any measure and told it all to Achmed’s face. This will give him some momentum off his commercials.
