Why are we angry?
We spent years and years hearing how our President murderded innocent Iraqi terrorists. The constant raving chant of "Bush Lied, people died" was giving aid and comfort to our enemy. These people on the left for years stopped short of committing treason. After we started in the Iraq war, it was as if nearly a quarter of our country was fine with crossing that line daily. The hatred of the left was difficult enough to swallow, but the press wallowed in it. They daily shoved our noses in it. Any troop died, and it was celebration for the press. Bush stumbled, and the press played it over and over again. In 2006, we had a crisis brewing and nothing was done about it. The Democrats had stonewalled and forced so many things with their razor-thin minority that obstructed and obstructed over and over again, and we were tired of it. And then, to make it better, along comes two relatively minor incidents with two rather obscure Republicans and suddenly every article, whether the discussion of the policies, procedures and politics, or the incidents themselves or hell, even the discussion of the local bake sale at Aunt Sally's next week in the Metro section was talking about foot-tapping and pages. We saw a disaster in the elections of 2006 precipitated by the press drumming into mainstream America crap that the Nazi Propoganda machine would have been proud of.
We had a gas crisis across the land because the left has done everything they can to prevent even one extra drop of oil from being extracted from American soil. And it crippled our country. And to make it even worse, the Democrats tried to blame it on the Right. The hatred exhibited by the left has driven a wedge between factions in this country that I doubt will ever be fixed. Then along comes John McCain. A man who has been against our President over and over again. We saw the left crossing the line repeatedly to bring about a McCain candidacy. Our candidates were thrown to the trashbin because the leftists interfered with the process. And it irritated us beyond belief. John McCain became the nominee. And then, the empty suit comes along who is the singularly most unqualified candidate we've ever put up by either party and yet, he comes in and lowers the bar of discussion. He comes in and gives speeches about nothing, has people fainting and television talking heads nearly having orgasms at the thought of hearing another of his speeches.
John McCain had to wait for a while until Obama finally solidified his lead over Clinton before he started his campaign. By that point Obama had made so many mistakes that his list was piling up. So, McCain launched one of his first ads that actually got any press. Why? Because it called Obama the empty suit he is. It showed him as a celebrity for celebrity sake. And it had a pointed comparison to two other celebrities. Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears. And immediately it was called a nasty smear racist ad. To those of us who watched from the right, we watched the Obama campaign start playing the race card. They've consistantly and repeatedly done it from the bottom of the deck since.
As we learned more about Obama, we learned that he had bad judgement, was raised by people that most Americans would have avoided like the plague and has had questionable activities since. He's sponsored legislation that has been morally repugnant and unacceptable in any way. And yet, his followers, like brainwashed sheep have denied over and over again the truth of what's come out of their candidate's mouth. Take for instance the ad about teaching sex to Kindergartners. Over and over again, the left has repeatedly claimed that the bill wasn't what it clearly said it was. It wasn't in any way shape or form a way to pervert the parental role. They've had several claims. These have been taken to task and shown to be false over and over again, and yet, they still argue their way into some logical circle that their guy had it right. So, let's look at these claims one by one real quick. 1) This bill was about sexual predators. What could be wrong with that? The bill was not about sexual predators. It was specific. There was a single mention of abuse in the 4th page. In the second half of the paragraph. 2) The bill was optional anyway. Any parent could opt out. So, what's the harm in that? Well if it was opt-in, nobody would go for it. Opt out means they'll catch the kids that don't have parents that pay attention, or can't find the form in the 50 or so other forms that were sent home that day. Opt out means the school teacher could "forget" to tell the parents. There is a lot of room for abuse there. 3) The bill was "age appropriate". How could that be a problem? Well, how do you age appropriately instruct a 5 year old about the transmission of HIV? How do you age appropriately tell a 5 year old about homosexual sex? How do you age appropriately tell a 5 year old about pregnancy in a "medically accurate" manner? These were all requirements of the bill. 4) Barack Obama supported this bill because it was a sexual predator bill. In Barack Obama's own words (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zQryISazAc) he says about teaching sex education to kindergartners, "but..but it was the right thing to do." So, you toss out the words of their fearless leader and they immediately accuse you of being a bigoted racist. I've had it happen to me. If anything breaks through the shell of the chosen one, Barack Obama, it's immediately bigotry and racism.
Since, we have been treated to a barrage of accusations about us, the right about how we're out to destroy Obama because he's black, or we have some hidden agenda that secretly he's a muslim (as if that's some sort of bad thing), and no matter how many times it's pointed out that we have no problem with his skin or his name, but his judgement, his decisions, his policies and his associations, over and over again, we're painted as racists. The fuse has been lit, and Barack Obama and his surrogates keep fanning the flames. They're pushing the divide so hard, of course we're going to react. And vicerally. It's impossible to be beaten over and over again by the left with lies and smears and accusations and not snap back. My biggest fear is that the Obama candidacy is going to irrevocably destroy our country. That which man breaks Gods struggle to make whole again.
Please read, review, comment, correct etc.

There are so many spelling errors that I’d have to leave for church before I could point them all out. Please run a spell check.
And I’m not angry at all.
> These people on the left for years stopped short of
> committing treason.
Paul, with all due respect, I stopped reading here.
The Left *IS* treasonous, and they have *NOT* stopped short of treason, but have gleefully committed it and promoted it with impunity.
Read page six of your passport and tell me how many Democrat Congressmen and Senators are not in violation thereof, making deals with and promoting the agendas of foreign governments.
Turban-Durbin, hajib-Pelosi, and even TREASONOUS Obama, willing to keep American troops in harm’s way in order to improve his chances of election.
I would add that one of the main reasons people are angry is that the press ignores so much information that would be a relief-valve for many. There is almost no broad outlet for feelings of frustration, because those with the microphones and keyboards choose to protect their own views at the expense of reporting the WHOLE news.
Excellent piece, and spot on.
The media, especially the NY Times did commit treason by publishing our national security secrets, and undermining the war.
Ping it over and over.
Don’t tell McCain you’re angry because he’s angry too but will be nice about his anger.
There is rightful anger at the way the Demonrats/media operate. It is really sinister no matter how you put it. They are not good people-I will say that. How can you call people who deliberately lie, slander, and threaten dissent anything other than the dangerous radicals they are who are and have been consumed in hate. Now we see them yet again systematically working on their voter fraud to try and turn it in their favor and it is maddening. Whatever is said is projecting with their talking points. The hate as dished out at Bush and now Palin is unjustified and a significant look at the people with whom we are fighting for the soul of this country.
The Silent Majority is now the Angry Majority.

We’ve got 200 Million to throw at Barry in 3 weeks.
It’s the way I feel, too. It is exactly why I’m angry.
And, yeah, they never proved Bush lied about Iraq so they did commit treason.
Very good.
You’re not angry at all.
WOW. And all you have to say is “do a spell check”?
Thanks for your non-contribution. Go back to dreamland.

Obama is gaining because the public blames the economy/mortgage meltdown on the Republicans. Nothing could be farther from the truth but facts about Republicans trying to regulate Fannie/Freddie and Democrats blocking this attempt are being ignored by most of the media.
We have just about elected a person to be president that was never vetted, by the media or even his own party. I blame the news media for this.
Your heart is in the right place, partner!
But please do the article again and use spelling & grammar correction.
Excellent piece, but I would also add ACORN and vote fraud as a cause of our anger. A lot of us here are extremely angry that we may be seeing the start of rigged and controlled elections ala Saddam Hussein and no one is doing anything about it!
What should be done is an immediate RICO investigation and all registrations from ACORN immediately declared illegal. But the side giving us this fraud yells disenfranchisement and nothing is said about the disenfrancisement of MY VOTE because another vote was fraud. Nothing is said that for every 3,000 fraudulent votes 3,000 legitimate voters are disenfranchised — and the good guys cave. So yeah - we’re steamed.
The right to a free election is the most precious right we have. If that’s gone what remains of our house of cards will crumble with it. We’re nothing more than a banana republic at that point - - so yeah we’re ticked.
