The Palin trend....McCain AGAIN last night proved he did not want to fight for this....Palin is fighting and that is what is helping those polls move in their direction.

The Early Line: Diageo/Hotline Tracking Poll

Obama/Biden 45%
McCain/Palin 44%
Undec 9%

- Obama and McCain are now tied 44-44% among men. Today's Diageo/Hotline poll is the first in which Obama has not led men since he trailed them 46-45% in the survey completed 9/26.

- The candidates remained tied on economic issues. 42% believe Obama would do the best job handling the U.S. economy, and 42% say McCain. 62% meanwhile believe the economy is the most important issue facing the U.S.

- McCain, however, now has his largest lead ever on energy issues. 46% favor the GOP nominee on managing U.S. energy policies, and 40% favor Obama. One week ago, in the survey completed 9/30, Obama led 46-40% on energy.

Today's Diageo/Hotline tracking poll, conducted 10/5-7 by FD, surveyed 904 LVs and has a margin of error of +/- 3.3%. Party ID Breakdown for the sample is 41%D, 36%R, 18%I.

Yes! Positive news for McCain-Palin, most of which you could attribute to Palin. She needs to stay in the limelight, even with the speeches highlighting Obama’s background.

Rass had Gore up by 9 over Bush October 7, 2000 according to :

http://www.brokeruniverse.com/grapevine/thread/?thread=541628

Personally, I think Rass is just too young and inexperienced to get a polling business to work correctly... I don't think he understands the nuance or this country's dynamics.

Yes! Keep Palin on the attack...it is working.

(the press and the Obama people, one in the same, tried to say it would hurt McCain. Come on..if they really thought it would hurt McCain, they would be quiet about it and let it continue. They KNEW it would hurt Obama!)

In other words, McCain is almost certainly ahead given the “Bradley effect” and the tendency of these organizations to vastly oversample Dems. If I were Obama’s campaign guy, and I was looking at the internals I’ve been seeing about Obama trailing KERRY among Catholics, Jews, even blacks (!!), suburbanities, I’d be very concerned.

“My Friends” we are all watching history in the making. This will be the first election in modern times where the Presidential candidate will win entirely because of the VP Candidate choice.

Ask yourselves this, how powerful is Sarah Palin that she can bring home an election for the pubbies up against a cheerleader media, economic panic, and a messianic man-child. Not to mention the lead weight at the top of the ticket.

I am telling you, McCain will win. The American people love a bit of thrill and to be courted, but in the end they are dead serious and will flock to McCain. Watch roughly the last 7 days of this election to see the undecideds migrate steadily and decidedly to McCain.

From Diageo/Hotline: Obama and McCain are now tied 44-44% among men.

Does anyone here really believe this?

Zogby has it O 45 & Mc 44.

I think pollsters are going to do what’s right as they see the world economy crashing over the prospects of the O being POTUS.

That actaully means the Battleground tracking poll is Really TIED.
They revised there formula to give Osama OBama 4 points last week.

There poll now is radically different to the polling prior to last Monday.
Why they wanted to give Osama 4 points is the real question !

These tracking polls are pure garbage. http://www.pollster.com/blogs/battleground_drops_party_weigh.php
