The Early Line: Diageo/Hotline Tracking Poll

Obama/Biden 45%
McCain/Palin 44%
Undec 9%

- Obama and McCain are now tied 44-44% among men. Today's Diageo/Hotline poll is the first in which Obama has not led men since he trailed them 46-45% in the survey completed 9/26.

- McCain, however, now has his largest lead ever on energy issues. 46% favor the GOP nominee on managing U.S. energy policies, and 40% favor Obama. One week ago, in the survey completed 9/30, Obama led 46-40% on energy.

Today's Diageo/Hotline tracking poll, conducted 10/5-7 by FD, surveyed 904 LVs and has a margin of error of +/- 3.3%. Party ID Breakdown for the sample is 41%D, 36%R, 18%I.

Funny, I’m starting to think that a minor stock meltdown helps Obama, but a major meltdown scares people and they may move to McCain.

This has boggled my mind, how any man of any stature could support that pantie waist noddled spined liberal.

I somehow just cannot get myself to believe that a real man would support Barry. And I do not believe our country is only half real men.

WOW! Based on the Party ID weights, and assuming that Zero and Palin are getting equal percentages of their own party vote, Palin is winning Independents 61%-39%. Incredible.

Right away, it’s bogus. There is no way the Messiah leads among men. Never has, never will. That’s why I think all of these have screwy internals. Women? Sure. But not men.

The issue that Obama is tied with McCain among men is the most ridiculous idea in the universe and shows you how these polls are totally detached form reality and against all historical trends. Clinton who won the Presidency twice lost the men vote twice. Gore and Kerry lost the men vote badly. But now according the biased polls Obama is tied with McCain among men. Just be serious people and get back to the real world.
