ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is accusing Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with a former 1960s radical.
Palin was referring to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. The group took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol four decades ago.

Years and years ago I read a book about Diana Oughton, Ayers’ girlfriend who died in the Greenwich Village blast. Based on the autopsy report, it is speculated that Diana may have been holding the bomb when it exploded. The plan was to set the bomb off at a military social event in New Jersey, potentially killing scores of service men and women. Ayers is a terrorist and should be in prison. It’s unreal to me that someone who could be President would have any association with this monster.
I suppose blowing up buildings and people is political speech protected under the 1st amendment, just like every other perversion except blaspheming the 0.
From the Fox News story. Apparently McCain has no problem with her attacking with the truth about Obama:
McCain adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer followed up on both of Palin's remarks Saturday, citing Obama's Afghanistan comments and ties to Ayers in questioning his judgment.
"Apparently Senator Obama has no problem associating with someone like that, and somehow thinks that this unrepentant terrorist is rehabilitated," she told FOX News.
I would rather put a bunch of dollars in a slot machine than take that bet!
Hillary's perhaps. But not McCain's. McCain does not have enough black votes to lose for the race card to matter. And the more Obama makes it about race, the more white Democrat joe sixpacks will be turned off.
Dear Sarah,
It’s obvious that your partner is not going to go after this guy...And let’s face it... this is your shining moment, as I doubt you’ll ever resurface if your team loses...
So, please. Please for all of us here at FR who have pulled our hairs out, agoninizing over McCain’s passivity.
GO AFTER THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ask him about his foreign donors...his ties to radicals...his plan to increase our taxes...his association with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac...
Have someone ask you if you use an ear piece during debates. And then answer that you don’t, but you know that it’s used and you see nothing against it...
Tell the media about Obama’s tax returns...where he’s heavily invested in Oil companies who do business in Iran...
Have someone ask you about Obama’s birth certificate...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And say that you’re SURE that the FBI has vetted ALL the candidates....
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....!!!
If you’re in this to win...then let’s win...
nikos
If McCain doesn't know what Palin is saying or about to say, he doesn't deserve to be President.
"They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in.
The following was posted back in July but for those of you that may have missed it... Please read it...it is chilling...

Editor, Times-Dispatch:
Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day and on July 4 I celebrate America's. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.
On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba and a few months later I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.
I've thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.
When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said "Praise the Lord." And when the young leader said, "I will be for change and I'll bring you change," everyone yelled, "Viva Fidel!"
But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner's guns went silent the people's guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I'm back to the beginning of my story.
Luckily, we would never fall in America for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?
Would we?

But your response also implied Ayers is a 'known' member of the Revolutionary Communist Party. But like I said in my last, the SOB is STILL advocating communist revolution whether he's a member of the RCP or not. However, we don't need to make things up. There are plenty of facts out there tying him to revolutionary communist groups. Here's one I posted earlier:
Bill Ayers TODAY (April 6, 2008), from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and STILL calling for revolution!
"Imperialism. Im against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolutiona revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good must win.
We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

"a better world is both possible and necessary"
Looks to me like Bill Ayers stole (or borrowed) this phrase from Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Both the Weather Underground and RCP have roots in the radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) organization.
"The following is an excerpt from an historic talk by [Revolutionary Communist Party] Chairman Bob Avakian, soon to be available on video and DVD from Three Q Productions-REVOLUTION: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About. This talk, delivered in 2003, followed by questions and answers, is a wide- ranging revolutionary journey, covering many topics."

Interview with Bill Ayers:
"On Progressive Education, Critical Thinking and the Cowardice of Some in Dangerous Times"
http://rwor.org/a/063/ayers-en.html
I checked around to see who is was reporting this. It’s on Fox and ABC News. Interesting to read what ABC News posters are writing. Majority say McCain/Palin are losing and they are now resorting to lies, smears, etc. I am telling you, you cannot use reason and facts with this people. It is downright scary! Take a look.

You are talking about our (America’s) support of Israel. But it seems to me that support generally comes more from Republicans than Democrats.
So, my question is, why are there so many Jews that are Democrats??
You can add to that our pro-life stance, etc. etc. I don’t get it;/
For sure. Bernie does not like to be left out. For example, see this interview with Connie Chung (about 20 seconds in):
I am so pissed off I feel like sending your post to every email address I can find at the NYT office until someone there shows the moxy and ccourage to suggest a more HONEST STORY on this...OBAMA is a VERY BAD SEED.
The worst outcome of pointing out the FLAWS of Obama and his Radical, Reckless and irresponsible associates, with his desire to implement sweeping Socialist change is that if he does win the Election the Country will be informed, warned and may be wary about his agenda.
This is a win win and we all need to be on the bandwagon
Good, now lets define swiftboating for them. Kerry is running for re-election this year. Good pretext to rehash the whole thing.
BO already accusing of being swift-boated and says he’s not pals with Ayers, and that paper says so.
Obama was the first chairman of the Annenberg group that Ayers founded. If there were no close ties there why on earth would Obama be named the FIRST chairman
WHY OBAMA’S ASSOCIATIONS ARE IMPORTANT IN A NUT SHELL.
It has become apparent that Obama intends to destroy the economic ideas of Ronald Reagan. He attacks the trickle down economic philosophy of Reagan by using the Saul Alinsky radicals method and he uses the Marxist idea of “trickle up” economics.
In history that path has led to the kinds of change that Hitler brought to Europe, Stalin to Russia, Castro to Cuba and Chavez to Venezuela. That is change that we cannot afford.
We know that Obama gets these ideas from his radical upbringing in the Chicago political machine, by his indoctrination in the Church of hate that he attended led by Jeremiah Wright, by his associations with unrepentant terrorists like Bill Ayers and his involvement with radical anti-Semites like Farrakhan. This is change we simply cannot afford.
