YOU SAID:

-—”she screwed the pooch on the economic crises. No mention of Fannie and Freddie. No mention of Obama taking money, no mention of Obama being in bed with the people who helped cause this mess when the opportunity was there. She should have been slicing Biden inside and out. Instead, she ceded that ground and let Biden hang it on McCain.
THERE YA GO Folks ///THIS GENTLEMAN JUST TOLD YOU HOW WE LOST THE ELECTION OF 2009..NO BALLS REPUBLICANS ..She should have told how Obama is a Bolshevik..how they forced banks to fund minorities who borrowed money they didnt have to pay back..Obama’s ties to Ayers and domestic terrorist..Forget it I’m disgusted. Tonight was the LAST CHANCE we had to blow out this fraud Obama ..and WE BLEW IT ..get it We BLEW IT,,We needed gloves off and it DIDNT HAPPEN.”

You make some good points, but I think you have unrealistic expectations to get every point nailed down in a 1 minute or 2 minute time slot. Palin did superbly well and got in enough classic, historical digs.

Perhaps there may be a strategy for McCain to address those issues (which I sure hope he does), but you need to savor the fact that Palin did EXTREMELY well tonight. She was charming and intelligent and novel. Biden was angry, ashen, and so old-school.

What I find most entertaining is that so many take this election so seriously.

You're kidding, right? Otherwise, what are you doing here?

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m not running for anything.

If you were running against obama and biden...I'd vote for you.

So, why did Biden get a pass on the Bailout issue? The dems are in the soup up to their fuzzy eyeballs... and the issue was NOT “deregulation”... but OVER REGULATION and FRAUD. There would have been no harm in her pointing that important distinction out. She should have nailed Biden about Obama’s involvement with the scandal... his taking huge “contributions” (bribes) from Freddie and Fannie.

I thought Biden was debating Palin for the job of EXXONMOBIL CEO, Biden spoke of them that I thought he’d do a COMMERICAL for them. :-)

Both of them sounded like they were running for the job of CEO of some energy company at one point. I was waiting for her to come out and talk about how great Greenpeace was and how we should all drive Priuses or take the bus or train to work and I was waiting on him to say he and Obama were going to Pakistan on their own to go after Osama.

Nods. I was born in ‘56 and grew up on military bases, with a Dad who believed in raising thinking, self-sufficient kids, small smile. I definitely agree on how much freedom we have, and still are losing daily, and it is my determination for us to right this ship, that drives my opposition to Sen. Obama.

I think we need to do more than win, that we need to win decisively, and to begin the big job of hosing out the Senate and Congress. And it is my hope that Sarah, and our newly empowered Congress critters, can help usher in a new era of conservatism. Lord knows, the country needs it.

Take care, and thank you for the replies :)

My favorite part was when Biden said, “I’m not gonna change!”

Doesn’t do much for the “change” ticket, does it?

You nailed it, she is so good at the warm putdown.

America recognizes her and everybody knows her immediately. The table is set to have a huge victory if they continue to hammer Oil/Corruption in DC. Fantastic.

Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops

RE: “Actually she was helpful to both candidates to answer her questions. She was very professional and dare I say non-partisan”

That late-breaking news about Ifill’s book and the subsequent decision to allow the debate to be held with her as moderator anyway may have helped rein Ifill in re her partisanship.

I have watched her Friday night shows on PBS hundreds of times and can tell you she ALWAYS displays her partisanship. ALWAYS.
