Okay, folks. Let's keep an eye on this debate and see if Sarah can beat down hairplug.
CNN undecideds going for Obamabi:)
Any chance Sarah can sub for McCain the next couple debates?
From your mouth to God's ears.
Amem to that!~ A big thank you to The Lord!
I wish she had mentioned Fannie and Freddie more. She did, though, mention that some in the Senate, meaning Biden and 0bama, had opposed McCain's reform in that area.
I actually think McCain should hit some of those points himself instead of having his #2. McCain has more of the adversarial toughness to make it work.
What little I saw was ifill completely in the tank and Palin now McCainized. I can't stand to watch lying dems and rollover Republicans.
McCain has allowed the dems and msm to completely define him on the sub prime issue. obama will use this uncontested tactic to win this election. Stunningly bad move by McCain.
Chrissie has a “problem” with the Gov., but Oberdork sends a tingle up his leg!
I repeat the question: Why did our Presidential candidate debate their Vice-Presidential candidate?!
LOL!!
I am greatly relieved and think that perhaps I had set the bar too high for her. She certainly avoided catastrophe and it seems that her likability won over more people.
Honey, chill! That was not her job. On Frank Luntz’s things SHE WON! They were impressed.
What a phony..
That;s fine, but I still think his focus groups are mostly idiots.
You said, “I think Sarah had a tremendous handicap to overcome, and that was having to defend John McCain. Her defense of McCain sounded forced to me, but then again, I cant blame her for that.”
I hear you on that. I have a hard time trying to defend him too.
I loved it when she said the majority of Americans and business owners would like the Government to “GET OUT OF MY WAY”.
I truly believe that if she did nothing else tonight, she proved to the American people that her critics were WRONG when it came to her being nothing more than an empty-headed bimbo... I don’t think ANYONE could’ve watched the debate tonight and come away agreeing that she is an imbecile as most of the media and partisan hacks have alleged.
I happen to think she did even better than that, and that she showed she DOES know what she is talking about. She was confident and strong...
The majority of Americans are not going to be listening to the debate saying things like — Oh, she should’ve said this, instead of that. She should’ve pointed to this, instead of that. I think that is the hardest thing to do for someone who is a political junkie like us FReepers — to accurately judge just how much the public is aware of, and just how much they will really pick up on. I honestly think Biden went over the heads of many “average Americans” when it came to some of his long, drawn-out answers - particularly when he started throwing strings of numbers around. People get turned off by that. We want straight talk, and I believe Sarah delivered that tonight, more effectively than Biden did — especially with a lot of the one-liners, and slams she got in against him.
All JMHO of course! :)
Why did he cry?
I was really impressed with Sarah. I just wish she was the top of the ticket!
Let’s hope she can energize voters in the coming weeks!
PS:
I just heard we’re getting 5000 McCain/Palin signs tomorrow!
Finally!!!
Flipping channels...ALL the DUmocrats are unhappy with Biden’s performance. They may not say so, but it SHOWS!
yes. They liked her and her homesy folksy nature hit it big. They actually liked the way she kept saying “we”, instead of an us-versus-them that Biden used.
