The Justice Department said Tuesday it will not station criminal prrosecutors at the polls on Election Day after civil rights groups said minority voters who are expected to turn out in unprecedented numbers because of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama could be intimidated. The move reverses a decades-long practice that put prosecutors on the lookout for voter fraud, ballot access violations and other polling problems.

Why would a minority be any more intimidated than anyone else? If you are legal and not wanted by LE there is nothing to worry about. I would like to see a cop and a BP at each poll just to remind those thinking about voting illegally, to not even think about it. “Good intimidation” for us all.
Bush is doing everything he can to get Obama and a democratic congress elected.
I think the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ would protect the Civil Rights of one minority and no one else.
yes I watched it, thank you
but the more I see it the more I get worked up.
frightening
[the more I see it the more I get worked up.]
I am the same. I get so upset by it all that I just go work on my animations to take my mind off it.
It’s a helpless feeling, so many things coming together that you can’t do much about.
agreed
we have brainwashing to kids
teachers wearing blue at school
obama using a school and the kids as a backdrop for his speech
him trying to close down the 1st amendment
his lying on the 2nd amendment
his radical connections
now using a lawyer to stop people seeing his birth certificate
it just goes on and on
It really is sad what is going on and I just really hope people wake up to all of this.
I really do fear for the future if this man gets elected as he is the biggest threat to this country right now
Thank you, interesting times, for the rest of the story.

How much voter fraud has been stopped before with prosecutors present?
Lots? Some? Hardly any?
How do we do that?
Publicity is our best weapon. Contacting anti-fraud blogs, radio hosts and Congresscritters is a good start.
That they should reverse their decision??? /confused
bttt
Since the limited number of prosecutors can't be in every polling place the value is in the fact that perps never know which precinct the plain-clothed feds are stationed in. This keeps them from having a free hand.
The idea of the Justice Department announcing beforehand that no LE will be posted in polls is damn negligence and an open invitation to fraud. A kindergartner can figure this out.
In addition, there are precincts in the ghettos and barrios that GOP volunteer poll watchers refuse to enter or sit in all day doing their watching. So, having law enforcement prosecutors stationed in polling places or making the rounds during election day is a definite plus.
Let the games begin, sigh.

Thanks for the ping!
Voter fraud is a way of life for Democrats. That and lying.
BTTT
So does this mean the RATS won’t be able to whine about supposed republican voter fraud as well? I doubt it.
Leni
Thanks IT for this heads-up.
The statement that makes me ill is, “Becker pledged to ensure ballot access for as many people as possible.” “...as many people as possible?!” How about as many citizens as possible? How about as many registered voters as possible.
I fear we are in the final days of this Republic!
