I downloaded it, will install it later, looks like it is free. Then I’ll have to figure out how to make it work, not used to those files.

It’s not shareware.
I DL’d it a few weeks ago- it works fine and easy to use. That youtube vid will definitely take up some disk space though. It was about what- eight minutes? Probably will take up at least 12-15 megs.
But its good for saving shorter vids if disk space is a concern.

It's really frustrating that they (GOP) are not getting this information out.
Dodd & Frank, who are now working on fixing this, is like having the fox guarding the hen house.

I saw that it was free, thanks.
30 something, thanks for the link. That looks more involved than I want to read through tonight, but maybe that is the way to go.
Canedawg, I'm always fighting for space on my hd, have two internal ones even but my computer is getting old and can't handle any of the really huge hard drives my tech told me. I've had to offload a lot of my data and photos to external Passports to free up some space. Those videos are pretty big files; I can work around it but don't dare grab too many until I get more memory or offline storage going.
I've got this external dvd burner and a whole pile of blanks, but the software conflicts with my Roxio cd burner which I like and want to keep. At some point, I'm going to have to struggle with it, but don't have the patience now. Maybe will wait until my system blows and start fresh.

How do you save those videos? If you're running Safari on a Mac, then while viewing the YouTube video you want...
- Open the Activity window and double click on the largest file listed. This will save the video to your download folder in flash format.
- Append the suffix .flv to the file to identify it as flash video.
- Get a free flash viewer such as VLC if you want to watch the file locally on your Mac.
