Palin: US could face another Great Depression
AP ^ | 09/24/2008 | By SARA KUGLER

"I'm ill about the position that America is in and that we have to look at a $700 billion bailout. At the same time we know that inaction is not an option and as Senator McCain has said unless this nearly trillion-dollar bailout is what it may end up to be, unless there are amendments in Paulson's proposal, really I don't believe that Americans are going to support this and we will not support this," Palin said in the interview.

Couric pressed Palin on examples of how McCain, a 26-year congressional veteran, had led the charge for more oversight.

The Alaska governor cited McCain's warnings about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago as well as image as a maverick. Questioned again for examples, and reminded that McCain had been chairman of the Commerce Committee, Palin said, "I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you."

McCain has insisted Palin is ready to take over as president, but he made no mention of including her in the meetings he wants in Washington to deal with the financial crisis.

The MSM is livid on being upstaged. They were blindsided by the Palin pick and they've been blindsided again by McCain's going to Washington!

I take special note to the last part of the final sentence in the post, Palin will be out on the trail, hopefully hitting 0bama for lack of guts. At least, that is my hope.

I would have replied “Look Cutsie, I was selected as John McCain running mate a short few weeks ago. That means I support him but don't be an IDIOT and think I know everything he’s done in the last 26 years.”

Uh, she’s not a senator.

Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know.... yes, we are in grave danger of a colapse of our economy. But this is what motivates the left and gets them to the polls and they want it to drop like there is no tomorrow. At this point, I am wondering myself.

Uh, she’s not a senator.

Haven't the governors of the other 56 states been consulted in this legislation?

Now we know where they stand on this.

Sarah did NOT say that. She was answering a question for Couric that had the great depression as a premise. Check the info at this link:

Katie's Interview With Sarah Palin (and Ambush of McCain on CBS tonight about 'Great Depression)

(BTW Sara Kuglar is a much of a journalist as Chris Matthews or his buddy Keith O. She was exposed the other night for the left-wing reporter she is.)

THE SPIN STOPS HERE!

THE DEMOCRATES ARE THE REASON FOR THE FINANCIAL CRISIS WE ARE IN NOW, Dodd, Frank, Schumer, Kerry, Raines, Johnson and especially your presidential candidate OBAMA!

Or any part of the federal government.

OTH - Obama and Biden are supposed to be senators. I’m really sorry that Obama doesn’t find his current job interesting enough to take part in one of the most important pieces of financial legislation since the great depression. I hope he won’t get bored if he is elected president and decide he wants to be a movie star, instead.

"I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you."

And how is this different than Obama's blather today which included many "talk with his advisers" instead of direct answers to direct questions?

The difference is, one the lib media despises, the other is the messiah.

“Well, Katie, if the example you cited of John McCain calling out from the lookout tower that there was an iceberg dead ahead while the rest of the crew was too busy re-arranging the deck chairs to hear him, I don’t know what else he could have done to convince them or satisfy your cureiosity.”

Great Depression my ass! If they started serious tax incentives for capitol gains cuts, put the damn government on a diet and declare we won and get the hell out of Iraq, (or have those Iraqi’s paying for the protection like Japan does) as well as make congress repeal every earmark they’ve implimented from Jan 2007, that would buffer the blow!

Did you hear about the largest Chevy Dealership closing? I hope for the best but right now, it does not look great. Banks are not lending money and cars are not being sold because loans are not being approved, even with excellent credit. If President Bush is coming on t.v. tonight and we are not in grave danger of hardships in our economy, he is going to really have a hard time getting that approval rating over 10%.

Sure makes the "Keating 5" look like a walk in the park, doesn't it??

One slight problem...weren't Democrats involved in that too???
