WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI searched the residence of the son of a Democratic state lawmaker in Tennessee over the weekend looking for evidence linking the young man to the hacking of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's personal e-mail account, two law enforcement officials told The Associated Press on Monday.

From about 2/3 farther down in the article comes this howler:

"If Mike [Kernell] had known anything about this, he would have had a fit on his son," Deberry [a DemonRat] said. "When I saw his reaction when he first heard about it, the absolute fear and shock that was on his face, I realized then he had absolutely nothing to do with it."

I'd say the "absolute fear and shock" on Daddy Kernell's face were clear evidence of guilty knowledge that he and sonny boy had been caught.

Wel, we don’t know the father was involved. He probably was pleased in private, but his public face must be “disappointment” and “shock”. It’ll take a while before we know.

Maybe Jamie Gorelick would defend this poor yoot who “jumped the wall” of internet privacy, if they can come up with her retainer fee

His fear and shock was from the realization that his son was so stupid as to have gotten caught at his little game, not that he did it in the first place.

They don't need a lawyer. The FBI has already destroyed all the evidence. All clear...nothing to see here...move along.

It is very important, especially with evolving stories, to get the date of publication correct.

L.E. agencies should investigate the entire Kernell family. And they should follow the money to see if Mr.Benedict Arnold Kernell may have received payola for this event from Soros or some other DNC entity.

Dad might merely have been justifiably horrified when he realized his boy was as the Koreans used to say, “in deep kim che”...

Or horrified at how stupid the kid was: with the last name “Kernell,” he resets SaraH Palin’s e-mail password to “popcorn.”
It’s appropriate that Tennessee is known for their jackasses.

On FOX an hour or so ago, it was mentioned that a Grand Jury will likely be looking into this situation...maybe even today.

Judge Napolitano said on FOX last night that this kid will get no jail time even though the law provides for up to two years in the federal pen.

He’s done what he could in the immediate days to distance himself from his son’s actions in the public eye. Not denouncing them, just saying that he himself was not under investigation (at that time).

Headline says the boy hired a lawyer. So his parents are not paying for him?

Don’t expect a conviction or trial until after the election has passed, leading all discussion to cover “alleged crimes”.

I would be willing to bet that if they can find evidence of this crime on his computer, that the FBI is going to find that this kid has been using his computer to commit a lot of other crimes. I'd bet he has done this kind of hacking hundreds of times and that he has illegally downloaded music on his computer and there will be evidence of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit a felony among his compadres.

Unless he was able to successfully destroy all the evidence and incinerate his hard drives, this kid is going to be looking at some hard time.

The conviction may prevent the little pervert perp from becoming a lawyer...one less Rat dishonest lawyer with a political heritage to deal with in the future. But he could end up as an “Professor of Ethics” at an Ivy League school.

Our local radio talk show host admitted on the air that her son had been caught hacking into other peoples computers and that the FBI had come and talked to him. His punishment? Our city government gave him a job.
