15,000 Jews Say `No` to Palin at UN Rally on Iran

J Street has just won its first political skirmish. Only a day or so ago it began a campaign to petition Malcolm Hoenlein and the Conference of Presidents against its decision to invite Sarah Palin to address a UN rally against Iran on the day the latter's president addresses the world body.

Malcolm said yes to Wexler? That wasn’t made clear. And if he did, then there would be no basis for accusing him of running a partisan program. So I don’t get why he thought there was a legitimate threat.

Someone please, please help me understand why Jews choose to vote for a Party of Islamic sympathizers? It defies logic.

First point out anything about this party that doesn't defy logic.

Because Jews are socialists. There are of course exceptions but taken as a whole, they prefer the government control.

Jewish Dems threatened to get the IRS to revoke the tax-exempt status of all the non-profits who were sponsors of this event.

So they used EXTORTION tactics?!

These are the kind of people we want running our country? And if 'leaders' can't stand up to them then they are much of a leader either.

All he has to do is NAME NAMES.

But it was Her Royal Thighness herself who cancelled out when told that Palin would be invited to the same event. Then she had the chutzpah to lead the charge to have Palin banned. So she would be willing to speak only as long as no Republicans were allowed.

Although the 'Rats claimed that Palin's presence would have "politicized" the rally, apparently they had no problems with political speakers in past years as long as all such speakers were Dems. That's the issue: the 'Rats are getting away with controlling speech and thought in the Jewish community here, as they are wont to do in the larger American society.

Hillary had virtually nothing to do with the Palin disinvite. This was an effort of the Obama campaign via proxies.

Threats to sponsors may have led to Palin invite reversal

Malcolm gave a long interview on Nachum Segal's show on Friday Morning. I found a link for this interview. It is enlighening.

This is just a blatent, anti-semetic generalization this is purely untrue and has no place at Free Republic. You just embarrass yourself when you say things like this.

This goes a long ways toward explaining why there was so little resistance from their parents and grandparents when they gave up their homes and possessions and went into the ghettos, then on to the trains and finally into the camps. They have lost the guts their remnant had when the survivors were rescued from the camps

Look at Hollywood and many of the wealthy like Spielberg are Jewish and never fail to support the liberal agenda. Hillary kisses Arafat’s wife and they still love her in Hollywood. I truly think they believe they are so secure from persecution in Hollywood that they could care less about Israel...they may be very unpleasntly surprised and wish they had a homeland to protect them someday as Obama’s Arab friends won’t.

For whatever reason, jewish voters and activists here in America consistently turn their backs on those most supportive of their situation; Conservatives and Christians.

In time this will prove to be a big mistake as those groups will turn their backs on Israel. The pro-left jewish groups can turn to their friends like Louis Farrakhan for support because frankly I'm getting kind of tired of the bull$%^&.

I am not a socialist, and I don’t know any socialists. How many socialists do you know?

Are you connected in any way to the other bert on FR that used to put an “A+” in front of his name?

Our Jewish FRiends here on FR have told us to not paint U.S. Jews with a broad brush about this issue but I’m telling you, 15,000 people slamming Gov. Palin (for being right, for supporting them by standing up for Israel and against a dangerous, anti-Semitic tyrant) is beyond the pale.

As I am one of the Jews here on Free Republic, we can start with your appologie for being a dumb ass. Now read the article. Read my comment. Remember that David Axelrod and many others make a living by doing ASTROTURFING. That is senting emails and letters professing to be groups of concerned citizens, i.e. Jews who are a community that they are "Organizing" into political action so that they might threaten hapless bureaucrat or politician's into doing what they want.

These 15,000 or 20,000 folks who call themselves Jews are emails sent by who? Who knows. Perhaps the same folks who tried to shut down Milt Rosenburg's show twice now.

The point of this post is that J Street is claiming credit for this outrage. This is like Hezbollah claiming credit for kidnapping two Jewish soldiers. They are not making friends in the Jewish community. Don't fall for their crap.

J Street is the political arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement. (aka DEMOCRAT PARTY/FAR LEFT)

We Won! Palin Not Speaking at Iran Rally

We collected over 20,000 signatures in 24 hours asking Iran Unity rally organizer Malcolm Hoenlein to take Sarah Palin off the schedule for Monday’s rally, and he caved to our pressure on Thursday afternoon citing the fact that the rally had become too partisan.

This is the right decision. A unity rally to express communal solidarity is no place for partisan politics. And to give such prominence to Sarah Palin alone would have spoken neither to, nor for, the American Jewish community.

This is a victory not just for the 20,188 others who signed J Street’s petition. It’s a victory for the broader community. And we’re pleased the rally’s organizers came to their senses so quickly.

Victories like these don’t come easily - or often. But when they do, we should savor them, at least briefly.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow, because our next task is making sure that the messages at the rally reflect the view of a majority of Americans - Jewish and otherwise - that the best way to deal with Iran is through tough, smart diplomacy - not saber rattling and threats of force.

It says the server isn’t working. And it doesn’t make sense for Malcolm to say it “wasn’t his decision” if he is the president of the organization. He has to take responsibility.

This is the time to celebrate the falling of the curtin, not to express your deep seated prejudice. The Democrat party won the support of Jews in WWII when the Conservatives were very much of the Pat Buchanan mold, advising pacifism and non-intervention in Europe while rumors of horrors were flying.

Christian motives have always caused some suspicion in the Jewish community, especially more devout Christians who often turn their efforts at vilifying Jews at some point in the political cycle.

Christian Conservatives have to hold fast to their faith, and their path and not let winning and hope dissuade them from their course. Yes, there are Jewish folks opposing Christians, and saying the most vile things about Christians. There are folks saying that sort of thing about Jews too. Don't get caught in jerking the knee.

Understand, this is a time of great promise. Sarah Palin is a terrible threat because she is righteous, not because she is evil. This is why the same people attack Rev. Hagee, for fear that Jews and Conservatives might join in common goals.

Show me proof that these emails came from Jews. But, and Jew who participated in this by sending an email to have Palin dis-invited is a fool or a dupe or knowingly committing evil. They have to live with this. But, frankly, this isn't the point. Jewish Democrats are gloating that they did this as a win. Very foolish.
