J Street has just won its first political skirmish. Only a day or so ago it began a campaign to petition Malcolm Hoenlein and the Conference of Presidents against its decision to invite Sarah Palin to address a UN rally against Iran on the day the latter's president addresses the world body.

Just like other criminals, they couldn't resist bragging about this disgraceful behavior. This is an earth shattering development for the Jewish community when fighting the evil that Iranian actions and intentions takes a backseat to some perceived momentary partisan victory.
This headline could have been written, "15,000 Jews fight to destroy Israel and bring shame on our community."

I don’t get why Malcolm caved on this. What’s his explanation?

Someone please, please help me understand why Jews choose to vote for a Party of Islamic sympathizers? It defies logic.

They all would have made for good Kapos in the Warsaw Ghetto.

Wasn’t this the same group that disinvited Palin because they did not want to be partisan? Wasn’t this a rally against nukes in Iran?

Did “15,000 Jews” say “no”? Or just their leadership?

These are NYC liberal jews who are going to vote RAT no matter what. Palin shouldn’t give them the time of day. Bottom line: she stands with Israel and its right to do what it needs to do to protect itself.

Many Jews are socialists and marxists. They think(and are probably right) that they can control the Rats just as well or better than the GOP. Remember, that although Israel is a democracy it has deep roots in socialism. That has mostly worn off, but the political leaning is still there.

I dont get why Malcolm caved on this. Whats his explanation? Jewish Dems threatened to get the IRS to revoke the tax-exempt status of all the non-profits who were sponsors of this event.

This is the same group that disinvited Palin because they did not want to lose their tax exemption.

Lots of spin in that article, to believe the writer, one would have to assume that “all” 15,000 or so attendees were there to applaud Governor Palin’s shunning.
I'd disagree with that notion, and really it is a unconscionable for the writer to suggest such a thing.
This came out bad for everyone involved IMO.

As a Jew myself, I can tell you:
I don't know...
Just like I don't know how Jews pre WWII in Germany felt safe???
To: Psycho_Bunny
I agree PsychoBunny it was their leaders. The fact they clearly had no problem with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton being there says it all.

No offense to the Jewish Freepers as I have no clue about Jewish political organizations, but it appears that “J Street” is Jewish the way that “Catholics for choice” are Catholic and “Sojourners” are Protestant
