Please post and circulate as widely as possible. The truth about Barack Obama's "Dreams From My Father" is more damning than the smears and urban legends. Unlike the latter, the following quotes all have page numbers to allow the reader to visit a bookstore or library, or order the book over the Internet and verify that Barack Obama really wrote this material.
"Dreams From My Father," page 101 (paperback, ISBN 978-1-4000-8277-3)
Joyce was a multiracial classmate who wouldn't embrace her Black heritage to Barack Obama's satisfaction, as shown by this excerpt.
Dreams From My Father, pages 99-100
Here are more quotes from "Dreams From My Father," all with page numbers. See for yourself, and decide whether someone like this can represent Americans who come in almost every color and ethnicity on earth.
"Dreams From My Father," pp. 101-102
Obamas only problem with Black Nationalism had to do with questions of its effectiveness
If nationalism could deliver. As it turned out, questions of effectiveness, and not sentiment, caused most of my quarrels with Rafiq.
Dreams From My Father, pp. 199-200
I ceased to advertise my mothers race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites (page xv)
I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though (page 93) [http://www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov/streetterms/ByAlpha.asp?strTerm=B, Blow = Cocaine; to inhale cocaine; to smoke marijuana; to inject heroin]
I would occasionally pick up the paper [Louis Farrakhan's "The Final Call"] from these unfailingly polite men, in part out of sympathy to their heavy suits in the summer, their thin coats in winter; or sometimes because my attention was caught by the sensational, tabloid-style headlines (CAUCASIAN WOMAN ADMITS: WHITES ARE THE DEVIL). Inside the front cover, one found reprints of the ministers [Farrakhan's] speeches, as well as stories that could have been picked straight off the AP news wire were it not for certain editorial embelleshments (Jewish Senator Metzenbaum announced today ).

Obama the Racial Unifier:
Dreams From My Father, pages 99-100
But this strategy alone couldnt provide the distance I wanted, from Joyce or my past. After all, there were thousands of so-called campus radicals, most of them white and tenured and happily tolerated. No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.
Dreams From My Father, page 101
There is only one side for a person who wishes to represent the people of the United States, who come in almost every race and ethnicity on earth, and that is the American side. This country does not need or want a White Nationalist, Black Nationalist, or anything other than an American Nationalist in any position of public trust or responsibility in this country.
This one will kill the Demoncrats in November.
Can they actually believe that “getting in people’s faces and arguing with them” will have the effect they want?
These are AMERICAN VOTERS.
I could never bring myself to pick up that book and read it. I have hear plenty of excerpts from it though. That book alone she cause anyone with a brain to stay clear of this moron. Very disturbing he could become President.
I feel a strange need to take a bath.
There is a problem with your tactic here. You are abusing Obama’s confessions about his youthful thoughts on race: raised white, looks black, coming into his own. I don’t think it’s fair to slam him for those feelings and attempts to become a man when he was a teen.
There is enough to fight him on once he grew up. Teens explore. He had a rough childhood and a long way to go to become a man.
McCain by his own admission too had a lot to learn and prove at the same age. Maybe he wasn’t reading black separatist literature and doing lines of cocaine. Maybe he was just sleeping with every cute girl he could get. But neither of their underage exploits have anything to do with this presidential race.
Get quotes and facts about Obama’s young adult life: it’s extremely target rich. Obama was becoming a young Communist while McCain was taking on Communist torture for our country.
ya I had the same thought. Naturally all of us talk about politics and current events with family and friends. But it crosses some lines with people if you are supposed to get in their faces about it. But that’s what Barack said to do.
I wish he could be confronted about that comment. If he asked for people to talk about the campaign and talk about the issues, that’s one thing. But being so threatening about it is quite another thing.
But if he were confronted I bet he would just say that he didn’t mean it that way, and the fawning MSM would give him a pass on it.
Do what I did, put a sign on your door that reads “Republican inside and I’ve got guns”
I have a can of mace ready for those fist waving hopenitized moonbats.
I went and signed up (so you don’t have to} and they give you a list of 50 people along with their full name, age, and phone number. That can’t be right can it? There is a link for you to choose what type of person you are (Pacific Asian, African American, etc.) When you click Arab American it gives you this little tidbit of info ...
Welcome to Arab Americans for Obama
“If there’s an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties. It’s that fundamental belief - I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper - that makes this country work. It’s what allows us to pursue our individual dreams, yet still come together as a single American family. ‘E pluribus unum.’ Out of many, one.
Just what we need, a fear mongering America divider as Pres.
“There is a problem with your tactic here. You are abusing Obamas confessions about his youthful thoughts on race: raised white, looks black, coming into his own. I dont think its fair to slam him for those feelings and attempts to become a man when he was a teen.”
My own politics have changed somewhat since I was in college, and I recognize that Obama’s might have changed as well. His open association with racists, and his membership in a racist church, are however consistent with what he says he believed in college. This is why it is eminently fair to attack him for this.
Wait a minute, if I go to Obama's website and sign up, they'll give me the names and phone numbers of 50 of my neighbors to call and harass?
Ohmigosh, I want to do it just so I can tell those people Obama gave me their phone number!
If you sign up and are given a list of 50 people, those people will NOT be given to anyone else. So, I think I just got these 50 people off their call list.
Bump
Good point. Maybe we should all sign up just to save our neighbors the headache.

Per the N2N website
It is absolutely essential that you report your contacts. The results from your interactions are critically important to make sure we can follow up with those voters properly. The sooner we learn what you have learned, the faster we can apply this knowledge to our campaign. This information helps us evaluate how we are doing and helps us run a smarter, more efficient campaign.
I was only given 25 names. That this personal information, including Voter ID numbers, is given is an awful invasion of privacy, IMO.
