Yesterday on the trail Barack Obama told his supporters quote, "...I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face." (See article) http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2008/09/17/politics/p185733D40.DTL&type=politics
WHAT??? This is ridiculous! A presidential candidate who is supposed to be for unity and change wants us to fight with our neighbors? Several times I have heard Obama use the term, "neighborliness". Is this what he means? This is just more proof that this guy is nothing more than what Bill Clinton said he was, a "Chicago thug"!
Ping
Maybe if we pool our funds? It would be fun to watch the reactions of hardcore libs...;-)
I have my own ideas for bumper stickers:
“Yes we can!” is not a plan
Obama - Financial terrorism we can believe in
(see my tagline for a third one)
With the changing mood in the electorate, Barry's handlers may be pulling the plug on getting him elected and concentrating on building the movement! If that's the case, hold onto your hat... you ain't seen nothin' yet!
Still, I asked, arent progressives putting high hopes in November? [talking about 2006 elections, but it still applies today] ....So what? Thats not the point, Ayers says. Electoral politics is a tool to connect causes, like gay rights, disability rights, voting rights, human rights. Thats how you use electoral politics. Not as an end in itself, but as an organizing mechanism. Our deepest belief, I think, is that we need to connect all these good projects and build the movement. we should always be positioning ourselves, thinking, okay, if Im involved in this next election, how am I positioned to help contribute to building a movement, raising consciousness, making the connections, and thats a real tricky business.
An “in your face” ping to a few folks here !

His whitebread grandfather was close friends with Commie leader Frank Davis in Hawaai
Lolo Soetoro - his Muslim stepfather - dressed im women’s clothing on weekends in Indonesia
Barack Hussein Obama Senior had close ties to radical terrorists in Kenya
If I was profiling Junior I’d venture that a skinny cocky Barry got into a fight with a larger Hawaain or white youngster and was beaten like a drum
In Europe the media said he made his first 3 pointer shot
- It was his 6th try that finally went in the hoop
His life is a charade - stage organized to hide his Commie Gangsta guts

I didn’t have any comments worth posting on that one devolve. Much I knew and nothing noteworthy to add to what you said.
