Hackers broke into the Yahoo! e-mail account that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin used for official business as Alaska's governor, revealing as evidence a few inconsequential personal messages she has received since John McCain selected her as his running mate.

1. The AP had nothing to do with it so I don't know why the Secret Service would ask them anyway.

2. I don't know why the AP would refuse since it's all info that is now “out there” and they had nothing to do with it anyway.

3. It is pissing me off that the MSM wants to make a bigger deal out of the fact that Sarah got some emails from others in the state government on her Yahoo! account than the fact that a felony was committed here by Obama supporters.

I doubt a copy of a forwarded e-mail qualifies as a stolen good.

If the "copy of a forwarded email" was obtained through illegal hacking into an email account, then it most definitely is a stolen good.

AP’s argument must be that freedom of the press extends to acceptance of stolen goods.

This argument worked for Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers. Anybody else old enough to remember that case?

Remember the basic premise of the left: laws only apply to the common people, not to them. They are above the law because, in their warped minds, their intentions are good.

Why would the AP — or “Al-Qaeda Propaganda” comply with law enforcement in the investigation of a crime committed against a state governor?

You all must be silly to think the AP would ever do the right thing as they hate the USA.

Michael Steele was just on Fox speaking about what he experienced.

I hope he mentioned that it was employees of the DNCC headed by Chuck Schumer who did it. They were so disappointed when they found no wrongdoing in any of Steele's accounts.

Yes. He spoke of two people associated with Schumer and the Democrat senatorial committee, the ones who orchestrated and perpetrated this crime against Steele and his family.

McCorkell was appointed by Palin to an advisory board
on issues involving alcohol and drug abuse. One of the
leaked e-mails suggested McCorkell wrote to Palin on Sunday
to say she was praying for Palin. "Don't let the negative
press get you down!" the message said.

I think we should turn up the heat on all the Gawker owned/hosted sites by writing their tips email address and let them know we won’t be frequenting their sites any longer until they write about the dangers of evil web sites profiting from invasions of privacy. I’ve done that for Consumerist.com and Lifehacker.com

While I don’t think this was engineered by the Obama campaign

Ever read on how he 'won' his other elections? This would totally fit his modus operandi...straight from the Chicago Machine's playbook.

The greatest weapon the demRat Marxists have to use against us is our naivete. Our minds don't conceive of the devious ways they use to obtain their goals...but we'd better learn. We need to recognize that the people we are dealing with are pure, raw evil. They will stop at nothing and stoop to any level. We give them a pass on this at our peril.

Forget that the e-mails turn out to be innocuous. Count on a demand from the Rats for an investigation to 'see' if she ever did 'gov't business on her private e-mail account'. They know by now that she didn't - and I'm sure are saddened they didn't find a "smoking e-mail" - this won't stop them from planting the 'suspicion' in peoples minds. The use of smear is one of the top ten tenets of the Communist/Marxist instructions on getting rid of opponents.

We are dealing with despots, folks - and these despots are frantic. They have worked feverishly for 3 decades to infiltrate and take over the demRat party (I infiltrated a statewide organizing committee of these Socialists pigs in 1981 where the head speaker was our state Senate Majority leader, demRAT, who opened his address by pulling his Socialist Party membership card out of his pocket. I was an investigative reporter for a statewide paper - in a meeting where "NO PRESS" was allowed) and reported on this modus operandi) -

They are more dangerous right now than ever. They are so close to their goal of power and instituting Socialism/Marxism that they will pull out all stops to keep from loosing the WH this election. They know that if McC/"Sarah" get in - It will be Pres. McC, followed by Pres Palin, and likely the WH will be pubbie for, at the least, the next 16 years. By then, they will have lost their dream of domination.

These people are now like a rabid animals. We MUST defeat them.

Remember, this is the Bush administration. Investigations are verboten; the veto is also. He is a kinder gentler sap and has only one achievement in nearly eight years, the war on terror. Yes, I say thank God for that, but his political skill in other matters is minuscule. And Karl Rove is no better.

Why does the Secret Service need the AP for copies of these e-mails. I would hope that the Secret Service has the resources to glean archives etc. I hope that the Secret Service has hackers better then their hackers.

AP got them from somewhere. If the copies of Governor Palin's emails were themselves emailed to AP, then getting the full headers of those emails would be of great help tracking down the sender.

What law have they broken? Somene forwarded hacked e-mails on to them. AFAIK, there is nothing illegal about the AP having those e-mails in their possession so long as they weren't the ones behind the hacking.

So by your line of reasoning, a fence - who knowingly takes stolen goods - has done nothing illegal? Interesting.

We would need actual arrests of campaign personnel to make this come anywhere close to Watergate.

Everytime one of them try the “IF she was using it...” bull, then the response should be
“well IF obama had anything to do with this...”

Mister, I like the way you think. Two can play the "what if" blame game in a way that adds possible MSM complicity while it keeps the story out there is such a productive way.

I hope that by now it is no longer a request, but a court order-before everything disappears into a black hole.

Thanks for the link there. An excerpt:

Obama mocks McCain in Nevada stops

"Sen. McCain bragged about how as chairman of the Commerce Committee in the Senate, he had oversight of every part of the economy. Well, all I can say to Sen. McCain is, 'Nice job. Nice job,'" Obama said at a rally at a baseball stadium in Las Vegas. "Where is he getting these lines? The lobbyists running his campaign?"

Obama later added: "I'm not making this up, you can't make this up. It's like a 'Saturday Night Live' routine."

The feistier, more sarcastic tone came as worried Democrats urged Obama to get tougher and show more passion. Obama has tried to assure donors and voters that he's been schooled by Chicago politics.

"I'm skinny but I'm tough," he says.

Obozo may be beginning his meltdown ???
