Only video so far....from tonight's newscast.
Obama 49% McCain 47%
Senate: Coleman 41% Franken 40%
Americans (especially younger Americans) need a course on Communism101.
I really do hope that Al Franken loses.
He is the last thing you guys need right now.
Wow, on a semi-unrelated note this thread lit up like a Christmas tree. It’s been too quiet tonight... except for the Obama gaffe ads. *snicker*
I hope Norm has reverse coat tails for the Maverick .
Also NoBama has to do the job for both himself and VP now.
No one has heard from plugs Biden since his last gaffe and the last crowd, he had around few hundred people show up.
Obama’s meeting today had 250 people show up and if you see the crowd, its lackluster.
Compare that with the Palin-McCain rallies and the big MO is definitely on our side.
It’s still 2 months away, so we have to keep praying.
I’m in California, nothing much I can do but pray for other parts of our country to vote for McCain.
It’s just so ridiculous that it’s beyond comprehension.
Jesse Ventura, Al Franken. Who’s next - Louie Anderson?
Fantastic news. Obama will now have to spend mucho pesos he would otherwise have to spend in MI, IN, PA, OH, etc. And if the NYT is right, he doesn't have nearly as many pesos as he expected at this point.
Karl Rove was on TV today and said he feels confident VA and FL will come through for McCain. So obviously the GOP interals are showing good things with those two states.
Ohio also appears to be trending towards McCain. But Obama is campaigning hard there. So we cant call that one safe yet.
The race is coming down to Colorado unless we can pick off a blue state. And right now McCain is within 3 points in 6 blue states. So it is possible.
Yes, the crowds are very telling. Frankly, I don’t even think that the poll numbers are giving us any idea of the magnitude of what is happening here.
Very hugh. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but Minnesota is a blue state. The poll says McCain is down two points which really means McCain is up about 5-6 points.
Do you think having our convention there helped? This really is a big deal mainly because Obama has to now allot funds and time there to keep it. GREAT ..thanks for sharing!
Yeah, but Karl thought we’d hold both houses in 2006, so I don’t trust “internals.” FWIW, I think OH is slipping away from Obama, and I think FL is long gone. CO is his only hope.
Franken has run a ton of effective TV ads. Coleman has run a few poorly done ads. Franken's ads make him look like he's the conservative. Union people in MN have always been easily duped.
In order to do so, McCain will probably release a series of ads that many Freepers wouldn't be happy about. Like his ad on immigrants today, for instance.
Yep. This was actually an election to go on offense and take back both houses, instead of basically conceding small additional losses in each.
Numerous blue states shows McCain within 3. (WA, WI, MN, MI, NJ, PA)
Just to make Obama spend money and time there is wonderful.
Having the convention might have helped a little. People might have tuned in out of curiosity who otherwise wouldn’t have cared. The moron protester arrests made a lot of news too. But, that probably just got people to pay more attention to the convention coverage than them.
Obama’s latest gaffe about Mac not being “cool” enough to learn to use e-mail will really endure him in Pa, OH, and CO. The GOP needs to hammer Obama on that gaffe. When I learned about that news I really wanted to give Obama a black eye.
One word: Ross Perot.
