Having the convention might have helped a little. People might have tuned in out of curiosity who otherwise wouldn’t have cared. The moron protester arrests made a lot of news too. But, that probably just got people to pay more attention to the convention coverage than them.

“McCain has 63% of the vote versus Obamas 32%”
“Not only does the GOP presidential nominee have the backing of 95% of Republicans, but 41% of Oklahoma Democrats support him, too.”
I think it’s the Independents and Democrats that are making these huge swings towards McCain.
