DOVER, N.H. Senator Barack Obama intensified his assault against Senator John McCain here on Friday, drawing sharp connections between his Republican rival and President Bush through a coordinated, partywide message as he confronts an invigorated Republican ticket and increasing nervousness among Democrats.
The good news is that in 53 days, the name George W. Bush wont be on the ballot., Mr. Obama told supporters here at an afternoon campaign appearance. But make no mistake, George W. Bushs policies will be on the ballot.
Mr. Obama amplified his criticism of Mr. McCain through new television advertisements that portrayed the 72-year-old Mr. McCain as an out-of-touch politician with a long career in Washington. The ads among the most pointed attacks to be put out by Mr. Obama depicted Mr. McCain as he looked when he was first elected to Congress in 1982, an attempt to undermine the new argument from Mr. McCain that he is the candidate of change.

Dover Barack Obama began an important two-day campaign visit to swing state New Hampshire today by tying John McCain to President George W. Bush and by taking his own verson of the Granite State’s state’s anti-tax pledge.
“I want to take a pledge,” he told about 250 supporters and independents in his first of two stops today.
Obama’s WHOLE campaign in the General Election (in the primary, it was “Hope! Change!”) has been that he’s running against the eeevil George Bush. But people realize Bush is not on the ballot.
200 of those were probably campaign staffers.
Schadenfreude, baby!
They’re STILL running against Bush. What morons! They do everything they can to defeat a man that’s not even on the ballot..........................
Fret baby fret!!!!!
Democrats do he most irrational self-destructive things when the fret. Kinda like a 5 year old girl.
325?......................vs 23,000!................(and no rock concerts or free hot dogs!)..............
Does this mean Obama is going to increase his limp-wristed purse swings at Governor Palin?
And for the what its worth column, here is the population of Dover New Hampshire.
Dover, NH Population in July 2007: 28775.
That is absolutely incredible that so few people would want to go to an Obama rally given the potential (he once had) of being the President of the United States of America.
It would seem there would have been people who wanted to go just to be able to say they once saw Obama and then be able to tell their grandchildren about it.
Bring on the “angry young black man” - that’ll scare people into voting for him.
Oh, great.
Is he gonna start using his squeaky voice, now?
Bush will not be on the ballot? Obama WISHES he was.
I have to wonder if the Dems haven’t hurt themselves with this endless campaign. It started the day after the ‘06 election. By constantly dominating the news with Demo and GOP debates, that seems to have diminished GWB’s presence on the scene. It’s almost as if he has become irrelevant and people think he is a non factor. With that in mind, McCain and Palin have distanced themselves from him and seem to have transcended the party. That is why they have a good shot at winning.
Does Obama know that President Bush isn’t running? Should we tell him?
Correct me if I am wrong, New Hampshire is a very Liberal state at that... and only 200 showed up ?
Well actually more than 200 showed up.
One report said 325 and another report said 250.
Obama meltdown is happening!!!! Could it be caused by Global Warming?????
I thought I was the only one to think that it would not be Obama dumping Joe but Joe dumping Obama.
Talk about throwing somebody under the bus, saying Hillary was a "close, personal friend" and a better choice for VP than him.
When last seen at the Titanic ticket office, a man from Delaware was seen standing with a crystal ball and asking for a refund.
