"The pregnancy is not the problem. The problem is the decision to engage in, as young people who are emotionally unprepared and economically unprepared . . . an activity that can produce another life. There are emotional issues that are attached to that type of behavior," says Perkins. "It is a decision that is going to impact the rest of their life."

Well, if she were not pregnant these people wouldn't be upset about the sex, because they wouldn't know! I'm growing tired of this story. Seriously, it's none of our business. Besides, she is getting married, and will the 18 (an adult) soon.

This is enough about Bristol Palin. We all know that she had sex out of marriage, and is pregnant;
The press needs to leave her alone.

These people do not understand conservatives. They think we are scared of sex. How do they explain five children? The Immaculate Conception? (laughing)

Conservatives and Pro-Lifers have been enthusiastically supporting Pregnancy Crisis Centers for the past 25 years. This is not the first time they have dealt with the matter of Teen Pregnancy.
How this nationwide movement escaped the notice of the MSM, I will never understand.

Typical MSM Christophobic propaganda! What Perkins actually said was this:
"We were not applaudingI don't think anybody was applauding ....
And USN&WR translates "not applauding" to "upset" - in the title --- "It's the Sex ... That Upsets Conservatives".

I haven't seen any “conservative” commentary that is upset.
Can anyone find any links of condemnation by “conservatives”?
The only “upset” I see is, faux, and in with the continuing blogger-driven liberal media obsession with publicly discussing the sex life of a 17 year old girl, scorning deriding and ridiculing her, in an effort to discredit her mother.
Now this jerk off admits the story is dying so he is trying to keep the story going.

It's neither. Conservatives aren't upset. They may find it disappointing, but they are still caring and understanding.
Now, an abortion -- *that* would've had them upset.

I don’t approve of teenage sex, but it happens. I don’t want to be part of the crowd either that had the rocks pointed at the Virgin Mary either, so disapprove the behavior, but never reject the teenager. Too many times people confuse the two.

The subject was addressed today by Family Research Council President Tony Perkins when he was asked during a media roundtable if he would have been so forgiving if one of Sen. Barack Obama's daughters were to get pregnant. " If Obama's family is anything like the "libs" in my extented family, the young woman would get pressured into having an abortion & her parents would not give up until she gave in to the pressure.

There is a comment that is at LEAST 100 years old that goes something like,
"It's amazing that a newlywed couple can accomplish, in seven months, what any other married woman must labor at for nine..."
But, we are speaking of democrats, here. They are not as intelligent as they believe themselves to be.

The hypocrisy is that Hollywood, the major TV networks and other parts of the popular culture glorify casual sex and push teens into sexuality far sooner than they are emotionally ready. Case in point...squeaky clean Miley Cyrus’ nude photo shoot for Vanity Fair...why would any parent let their 15 year old child be sexualized that way. Yet these liberals are the first to castigate Palin and her daughter.

uh...Sex doesn’t seem to bother conservatives. I witness her on FR.
One thing conservatives are is realistic. We do not advocate teen sex. We also do not promote it, or tell our kids a condom will do.
Conservatives are the most down to earth people out there.
Do not let sex get in the way of a conservative life, it has nothing to do with it, like the leftist make it to be.

Sarah Palin shouldn’t have to apologize for her daughter any more than Ronald Reagan Sr. should apologize for Junior. I’ll bet Bristol Palin will represent herself better than Junior Reagan represented Senior. But I’ll wager Senior was still proud of his idiot kid despite his liberalism.
