Mayor Kwame and Governor Granholm may prove to be our secret weapons in this election.

Hey,don't forget Detroit's MOAB -- Monica Conyers! She's going to be president of the City Council, so there's plenty of opportunities for her to stick her big, fat foot in her mouth.

I'm betting Obama won't come *near* Detroit for fear of having to be seen shaking her hand.

OTOH, maybe the Obamessiah can "lay hands" on Conyers and cure her of her mental illness...

> Detroit will have RECORD turnout and the black vote for Obama will be close to 100%. <

Correction:

Detroit will have RECORD turnout and the black vote for Obama will be close to 100% 110%.

I think we'll win here, but I'm not getting cocky with this poll. I think it's way off.

The 45+ vote will go McCain, not Obama. 30-45 I think will be close, and the 18-29 vote will go Obama big.

The big thing for this state is that we much make sure the democrats do not steal it with vote fraud.

My thoughts exactly. There might be other factors in this outcome, but tell me a hockey mom on the ticket in Hockeytown, USA (still high off the Cup) isn’t significant. Go Bruins!

With Detroit, they can only get so much out of that turnip. It's already 96% democrat, and it is dropping population.

Blacks are about 15% of the population here. We can take a Detroit kick to the head here. It will hurt bad, but we can get up from it if we get enough crossvotes from the rest of the state. Our base showing up is key 1. Key 2 is getting the crossvotes in social conservative democrat areas like Downriver, parts of Macomb County, The UP, Bay City, and the suburbs around Flint and Saginaw.

I wear my McCain - Palin pin. I have only gotten six replies. Five of them positive... One was a young black girl who said she was voting for McCain....Plus don’t forget Michigan has to show ID to vote.

Would Ted Nugent help or hurt the ticket in MI?

Not really sure. Ted has huge appeal to hunters here. And most hunters in MI are working class, blue collar types who love hockey and football. Sarah could do just fine on her own.
