Are You Too Dumb to Understand Evolution?
CreationEvolutionHeadlines ^ | September 10, 2008

Sept 10, 2008 — Astrobiologist David Deamer believes that life can spontaneously emerge without design, but he thinks lay people are too uneducated to understand how this is possible, so he gives them the watered-down version of Darwin’s natural selection instead, which he knows is inadequate to explain the complexity of life. That’s what he seemed to be telling reporter Susan Mazur in an interview for the Scoop (New Zealand). Is the lay public really too dense for the deeper knowledge of how evolution works?...

Thank you for showing us what Christ ACTUALLY said.

Clearly Christ was telling his desciples that their generation would see the end of the world and Christ returning.

Why did I waste Jim's bandwidth by pasting the whole chapter in, if you refuse to read it and understand?

The issue is origins and atheists refusing to understand they’re not the sole group deciding what Americans will terach to their children with their own tax dollars.

To the extent that origins can be studied by science, the teaching of origins will be decided by scientists. I suspect a more productive use of your time would be to argue that biology should be optional, perhaps replaced by chemistry or physics.

But if biology is taught it will teach the findings of science.

Gee, weren’t you the one upthread (post 1802) that was complaining about the thread getting off topic...

No, I wasn't complaining that the thread getting off topic. You were.

Your opinion of whether this country has ever been as bad as Saudi Arabia depends on your skin color.

Bruno was burned for his heresies. The Church had no interest in his philosophy.

He sounds more like algore. Here's the short version;

Bruno was not condemned for his defence of the Copernican system of astronomy, nor for his doctrine of the plurality of inhabited worlds, but for his theological errors, among which were the following: that Christ was not God but merely an unusually skilful magician, that the Holy Ghost is the soul of the world, that the Devil will be saved, etc.

Here we go again, godless liberals trying desperately to demonize Christians today for daring to have a voice in their children’s education by mentioning centuries ago persecution.

So where’s YOUR proof these burnings at stakes were indeed Christian?

I’d LOVE to see some New Testament scripture that professes Christians burn their enemies at the stake, or lynch blacks or kill off Indians.

Panther, do you REALLY believe that his objection to accepting Christianity has ANYTHING to do with perceived past transgressions, or with “inconsistencies” in the Bible, or with any other front reason he’s putting up?

No, it has to do with something that he knows he’ll have to stop doing, have to give up, or have to confess to

if he accepts the reality of the Christian God of the Bible.

You mean liberal godless scientists.

I really do invite some of you to actually read this site, click on the scientists section to see what the SCIENTISTS actually do say about Darwinism.

http://www.dissentfromdarwin.org

This is their problem the godless left will apparently continue to misunderstand until they’re stopped...assuming that only the scientists with THEIR worldview are scientists...teachers with only THEIR worldview are teachers, etc. etc. etc.

As a matter of fact, this entire thread reminds me of Harry Reid today...on the one hand he says John McCain mumbled some irrelevant things at the end of the meeting and then he says McCain “blew the whole thing up”...

He then went on to exclaim the American people, even from his home state of Nevada are mad as hell at him, and this miserable failed congress with their 9% approval rate, doing NOTHING but bickering and politicizing virtually EVERYTHING; but he has to rush this bad bill through ANYWAY, while politicizing everything and blaming Bush and HIS 30% approval ratings and of course all things McCain!

Godles liberals live in a parallel universe where...alas, all intelligence is banned, and they have absolutely no sense of shame or irony!

Not for me to say, but it’ll definitely be something everyone will stand before Christ for one day!

I’ve seen some that just had some strange fear of “losing control” or “being programmed mind numbed robots”, which is defintiely the case with cults, but couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to the one authentic truth of Christianity.

Yeah, I’ve heard the “losing control” fear, from those who HAVE finally “died to self” and embraced God. You’ll rarely hear someone admit that while they’re still “on the outside”.

The original sin was about wanting to be the god of your own life, to have the self as god, instead of God.

You keep posting this:

” We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”

but it doesn’t mean what you would like it to mean.

This tends to be a trend here...

Incessant rants and “show me the proof...”

followed by whistling past their own graveyards.

I see you failed to take my advice.

Again.

It’s just like your trying to twist and cherry pick scripture, to fit your ends, then projecting.

Exactly...and we have this thread alone to debunk the irrational fears of cultist programming simultaneously proving that it’s far more likely to occur without Christ.

Continually demanding “proof” while ignoring it seems to be Darwinism in a nutshell these days.

There was a study recently that showed that those who were not Christian were far more likely to believe in paranormal hokem like UFO’s, ghosts, astrology, etc.

So yes, cultist and occultist beliefs are far more likely to occur outside of Christ.

Or possibly a guilt complex.

Kinda like how liberals won't admit that abortion kills a baby.

Our science is advanced enough to know that abortion does in fact kill a baby.

Liberals can never admit it kills a baby, because if they did, they, in their minds eye, would instantly become monsters that promoted the killing of innocent babies.

Yes, of course it’s a guilt complex.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,

and all KNOW IT.

Yes, abortion is about the quintessential sin that must not be admitted.

Interesting. So what immoral acts is failure to believe in creationism proof of?
