This is awesome! Talk about rapid response!
“The One meant to say lipstick on a pit bull but he botched the joke. Lots of flubs these days. I wonder what today will bring.”
Chicago Tribune owned company WGN TV news anchor Robin Baumgardner repeated the same pig reference this morning attributing it to Gov. Palin. The Tribune is a big-time lib company in the tank for Obama.
I don’t see the problem with the statement in question. Obama is far too articulate to bother monkeying around with thinly veiled slurs. Dabbling in such things risks casting a shadow over his post-racial candidacy.
That would be like the pot calling the kettle black. Perhaps his recent downturn in the polls had spooked him and desperation drove him to such uncharacteristic chest-beating? Plouffe had best crack the whip and get Obama back on-message before his boy gets owned, seriously.
All over a common turn of phrase taken in an unintended context. Such a a dark day for American politics...
This is what we wanted out of Bush -
someone who won’t take the left’s crap anymore.
“think people are making more into his lipstick comment than they should, and it could backfire on us, the way their grabbing at everything has done to them. We need to be careful. jmo “
Yes, I agree with you completely.
That's like saying "$hit" to take the spotlight off of saying "poop."
I like that a republican is finally using a fast response team. It has been a long time coming.
I think that McCain has a long, bad memory of the bashing he took in SC during the 2000 campaign.
Good for him.
So the “lipstick” was not an attack against Sarah Palin and Hockey Moms? Give me a break.
This is what they are trying to take the spotlight off...the real gaffe in the media storm...

Pink Floyd, Flying Pigs and Obama
I totally agree with you. I think the comment was meant for Palin and was painfully staged. It was what it was, but if you listen to the entire speech, he was carefully alluding to McCain’s policies. The Republicans need to chose their battles wisely and this is not one of them.

RM,
I’m sorry but you are being patently ridiculous.
To think that you would change your so called party affiliation because the McCain campaign made an ad responding to an insinuation by Obama that Palin is a pig-
Really, if that’s what it takes for you leave the party in a huff etc...I say good riddance and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
I thought this was a tv ad that was posted on YouTube. Is it just a YouTube ad?
I never said it was smart. LOL. Maybe they decided this would be more fun, a morale booster for them and that people would just move on...
But the "My Muslim faith" gaffe would have a longer more devastating effect on the overall campaign.
It appears that the GOP ticket wants to win and this is something we haven't seen in quite a while. 1980 to be precise. Since Reagan, all GOP campaigns have been pretty wimpy. Imagine if Bob Dole campaigned like this!
Now like I said before, the McCain campaign has the capability to "go nuclear" if they have too. Imagine the lunatic ravings of Jeremiah Wright in prime time television commericals or footage of the Weathermen killing police officers and bombing buildings. The way things are going they may never have to use those clips but if they need them, there is an abundance of material out there that will destroy Obama so badly, he might not even get elected dog catcher in his next election.
Bail Obama! Bail!
