“I believe that people are rushing to support McCain-Palin because as long as she proves in the next four years she is who we think she is then we are looking at the next President in 2013, and one that holds many more true conservative ideals than what we have endured since 1989.”
I hope that’s the way it evolves. No finer thing could happen than for Palin to be what we hope she is, and for Bobby Jindal to continue his rise, and then the party can forget all about the Bushes, and Jeb and all the younger ones can enjoy themselves in some career other than national politics.

OK...I’ll also say that if trends continue, McCain wins every Bush state from ‘04, minus Iowa, plus New Hampshire, and plus:
At least two of:
MN, PA, MI, WI
And at least one of:
CT, NJ, OR, WA

I looked into Obamas eyes on OReilly Thursday night. I think he knows he is beat. deep down. I know that look. I didn't see the clip, but I can picture the look you speak of, and that look tells all. I too, know that look, and I believe you.
Add to that, all of the rapid reports coming out about non-stop gaffes and malapropisms, the sissy boy strategy of sending women out to fight his battles, Joe Biden's obvious shell shocked appearance - it all adds up.
And after all of the shell shock of the last few days, out comes new Gallup polling that shows them down by 10 percentage points. I don't even know if they'll last the night, much less until the debates.
They're all hunched into a corner, and no one knows who's running the show, or how to get out of the trap. Couldn't happen to a better crew of slimeballs.

Looks like Drudge got a bit 'fused. It's a 4 point lead, not a 10 point lead. Here's the
link.
And here's an excerpt:
Poll: Convention lifts McCain over Obama
By Susan Page, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON The Republican National Convention has given John McCain and his party a significant boost, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken over the weekend shows, as running mate Sarah Palin helps close an "enthusiasm gap" that has dogged the GOP all year.
McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points.
So sorry.

The Cult of OBAMA has come to an end. Dewey Defeats Truman. A's defeats the Dodgers.
Not even close. 57 days before the election means that they will be fighting and throwing the kitchen sink at us the next 57 days. They also will try and cheat to win.
I've also seen campaigns up 13% election weekend LOSE on election days because people stayed home.
The Cult of Obama doesn't end unless we all do our part on election day. That means voting and watching the polls to stop cheating.

"Hasta la vista, Biden.... " I predicted that, giving a timeline of one week, which came Friday, with no announcement. I still stand by the prediction, but not the deadline. (I also said that it would be to allow the one to pick a woman or Hillary.)

Based on the personal anecdotes I've heard in the last week, I'd find anything less had to believe. My yellow dog wife just got back from a one-week trip tonight. She asked me if I saw Sarah's speech. She said she saw it and says she likes her a lot more now.
