It appears that this might be a "puff piece" about Palin's baby. So let's hold fire until we see what the article actually says.
My theory is that the MSM has suffered severe backlash over their scandal-mongering with Sarah. They see how this backlash has engendered support for Sarah and hurt their boy (Obama) in the recent polling and they are trying desperately to rid themselves of the stain.
So they will put out this puff piece and try to contain the damage.

Don’t like this at all. If they are desperate, Hillary could be given the ticket with Obama claiming illness. It is absolutely conceivable when they get into a mindset that says “we’re going to lose anyway, there’s nothing to lose with this risk.”

That’s gonna leave a mark.
TEN points>? Wow...Sarah-cuda!

And I don't think it's just because she's good looking and has about 60 million guys thinkin' "o--o-h that Todd Palin did good."
or 60 million women thinkin' "oooh that Sarah Palin did good."
but seriously....Sarah Palin is an energy expert and that is the most important issue these days. And she has exec experience with a record as reformer.

Go to youtube and search "Obama, Muslim faith". Also search for "faith", "Muslim faith" in the FR search engine (titles).
He actually said "my Muslim faith" in an interview with ABC's This Week.
He's coming unglued.

Yep, but this time around maybe the folks have had enough and will put their boot into the lefty trash bags.

Now McCain needs to hit him hard with all the stuff they have been saving. When Americans here about Obamas support for infanticide, they will leave him in droves. Ayers, Wright, Rezko, etc. All will come out.
They need to take him out with Ayers, Wright, Rezko, BLT otherwise he will come back again in 4 or 8 years with more experience.

Rasmussen has been the most accurate and the most consistently fair in its treatment of republicans/conservatives. I like his methodology and his openness about it.
Today's Rasmussen rolling 3 day average says:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday, September 7, shows the race for the White House is tied. In the first national polling results based entirely on interviews conducted after Sarah Palins acceptance speech, Barack Obama gets 46% of the vote and so does John McCain. When "leaners" are included, its all even at 48%.

Gallup’s Likely Voter screen may take the “Bradley effect” into account.

Texas is in the bag for M/P As an ex-Californio, now firmly ensconced in North Texas, you don't know how good that sounds to me.

“Yes, it is time for Joe to get that medical check up, where he discovers he’s developed some unforseen medical condition that will require him to drop out.”
The Rat’s favorite dance is “The Torricelli”. But will Hillary agree to participate? At this point she’d probably make Obama grovel.

I’m pretty sure the diff is between ‘registered’ and ‘likely’ voters. The bigger spread is with likely voters. The exact quote is, "In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote."
Frankly, especially considering the ACORN and youth messiah factors, I'm more 'comfortable' with the 4 point lead for McCain at this moment.

I am still worried about a few of things:
1. The Democrats have registered many new voters during their primary who will not show up in these polls.
2. That John McCain will “peak too soon” and his lead will erode too far by election day.
3. As we well know, it’s all about the Electoral College, not the popular vote (although it is usually not an issue, it can certainly become one, can’t it?)

with the Republican convention being held so late this time... Two factors to that: The 'Rats were during the last week of summer when many were on vacation, while the 'Pubs occurred AFTER their return. Yes, they might have been focused a bit more on schools, but after a day running around schools and buying school supplies, the evening was spent listening and reflecting on the likes of Rudy, Mitt, Huck, Cindy... and PALIN and McCAIN.
