Last Day Folks! Thanks for letting me do the threads.
Last night was GREAT! You can tell by the amount of slime that is being thrown us. Break out the poopcorn, it's going to be another late night!
Unfortunately, I fear there may be a great many that didn't bother watching. I was visiting a friend this evening and they didn't even have the convention on. I suspect they are Democrats. The wife made a comment about Bush sitting back and counting all the oil money that he's making from the war in Iraq.
Why oh why do people say such stupid things like that? I said I doubted that he was making any money off Iraqi oil, but that IF he was, then he was probably sitting next to the Dem Rockefeller who owns a lot more oil. We pay for the oil that we import. Why do people think that we are taking their oil free of charge? It's infuriating, to have to explain the simplest of things like this. IF Iraq didn't want to export to the US they could stop. We can't force them to export their oil to the US.
Anyway, she said she didn't like Obama and probably wouldn't be voting at all.
Great line!!
basically it was a story of emotion.
A small group of folks who’s loved ones hadn’t been accounted for demanded the Taxpayers spend bunches of money looking for said MIA’s.
McCain, saw the odds were slim and voted against spending the Taxpayers money on this quest to quell a handful of peoples anguish.
As I recall that was 20 years after Vietnam
It was emotional.
Based on his knowledge he thought it was a was of taxpayer money. He honestly believed there was no hope. Some familys were hysterical in differing
Please do. Then we can dump on obama for his poor judgement and poor executive skills.
airborne is an American patriot and veteran.
I often don’t agree with him, but I love him dearly.
Anyone who attacks somebody else’s mental ability is suspect commie elitist in my book. That’s an ad hominem attack that is unworthy of a true conservative or Republican.
BTTT!
STE=Q
I have heard that too about McCain being the chaplain of the POWs. He was raised as an Episcopalian (before it went loony lefty in the 1970s) and he knew well the morning and evening prayer services from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer.
I've often wondered if they racked him over and over. Know his torture was incredible.
thank you
Precisely. I guess if a call comes at 3 a.m., and the teleprompter is down, Barack may have to resort to cue cards! :)
“when that call comes at 3:00 am, what if the teleprompter isnt working?”
LOL, Now, THAT’S funny!
This is what we prayed for a year ago. We agonized over Hunter's inability to get traction and then Thompson's. God has us ending up with McCain who chose strongly pro-life Palin to be in line at some future time to have the presidency. I actually think that we have a chance to win, and if we can win big, maybe coattails can take back the Senate, and maybe McCain can talk JP Stevens into retiring. We must get serious about the Senate here shortly. The Senate is the key to judges.
You who serve have allowed me to have freedom.
Thank You!
I guess it is time for this Republican American, to go to bed. Work is only hours away.
thank you
Lunacy! Bye.
Come to think of it, outside of the Vets attending, where were all the uniforms even in the delegate crowd? Has it always been this way at the conventions? Those uniforms are earned with sweat and blood and they should be allowed IMO.
You are so right (not channeling Art Carney! :) ) ... The Red Monqey needs to go.
Sorry .. missed that. I’m watching the replay
of McCain’s speech ... want to catch that ending
again.
