Last Day Folks! Thanks for letting me do the threads.
Last night was GREAT! You can tell by the amount of slime that is being thrown us. Break out the poopcorn, it's going to be another late night!
Feb. 2008 | CPAC | McCain: I...have pledged that it would be among my highest priorities to secure our borders first, and only after we achieved widespread consensus that our borders are secure, would we address other aspects of the problem in a way that defends the rule of law and does not encourage another wave of illegal immigration.
I attended CPAC. No one believed that McCain changed his stance. Everyone is for securing the borders including Obama. Check his website. The issue is how do you deal with the 12 to 20 million illegals already here. At NAELO and La Raza, McCain discussed how he would treat "God's children." He only favors deporting the 2 million criminal illegal aliens. How he would do that remains to be seen. The rest will be allowed to stay and bring in their families, which would destroy this country with the stroke of a pen. Amnesty is forever.
Honestly if Sarah Palin had not cleared the bases last night, this could have been a grand slam, but unfortunately last night the bases were cleared by Sarah Palin. Tonight's speech was a home run, but it only scored one run.
FWIW, there is nothing notable or historical about Obama's much touted speech. I can't remember anything other than the fact that he promised to steal about 20% more of my paycheck and give it to God knows who. I also remember the jumbotrons and the Roman Pillars. I honestly can't remember anything about Joe Biden's speech at all. To be honest, I really can't even remember if I watched it at all. I think I might have, but it was obviously forgettable.
McCain's last few lines spoken over the cheers of the crowd will be a memorable moment.
I am optimistic, but I still realize that as a nation, we do not deserve God's grace. We have not earned it. We have aborted 50 million innocent babies in the last 35 years and I can only pray that God will grant us mercy rather than judgment.
America is a democracy and as such we will get the government we as a people ask for and vote for.
This is a crossroad. The republican ticket is a solid pro-life ticket. We as a nation are being tested. Let us pray that we do not fail this test.
no one would know too much about it, she doesn’t showboat and the msm only likes to report that she’s a beer heiress..yada yada
i’m really glad that the video was shown
kind of makes the other “first couple” look a little bit
superficial about “hope and change”
It's disheartening to hear conservatives castigate their candidate just as harshly as the left does. We've got two choices; McCain or Obama. I hope you realize your comments do nothing to garner support for our candidate, and may actually deter those around you, or who lurk here and who are undecided to vote for Obama. After all, if conservatives don't support their own candidate, why should they? I am of the opinion that you can either support McCain and hope for the best or support the opponent, even indirectly, and prepare for the worst.
I'm not saying you have to agree with him 100%, but betwen the two, he is the best man for the job and he actually loves this country as much as you do.
LOL! :)
Hopefully into a dustpan.
That's the Drive-By Media's take, of course, but after many years in broadcasting, I don't think he's that good. He's an actor in his speeches -- maybe soap opera level -- and not a statesman. There is a huge difference.
“This is a national security issue”
exactly, and that’s how we package it
Thanks and God BLess you and yours as well.
;) !!
The PBS folks generally said it was great. I was stuned, I tell ya. Except for Maxi Shields. He's seen better.
he will hit those in the debates
Stress how growing government makes government work harder, and impossible to control. And that we CANNOT let ourselves be addicted emotional or literally to government help.
I wanted him to teach more, I guess.
But, his personal reasons for running were made very clear, and I very much appreciated his story.
An addendum ... If you want to see someone good with a teleprompter — even when it goes out on him — you need look no further than Rudy Giuliani last night. Now THAT’S teleprompterin’! :-)
Dittoes!
The wires that connect us are different but if Obama gets to appoint our SCOTUS, I would lose everything I believe in our Constitution. Sometimes people can be pretty damn stupid just to look smart.
Serving my country is an honor because having America as my country is a blessing.
Thanks, and I agree. We not only will take that field, but we have defined that field of battle.
That is the strategic key to victory, choosing the battleground. And the Obamites will feel very strange on it, the annointed one will not be able to walk on water there. He will just be another human being, and a lesser one than most.
when that call comes at 3:00 am, what if the teleprompter isn’t working?
that should be on a screen saver, ha
