Wow, Wow, a Thousand Times Wow

What did we see tonight?

Tonight, we either saw a watershed in American politics, a tour de force, the most striking and graceful debut in our nation’s political life, and a national introduction that makes Barack Obama’s 2004 convention address look like small potatoes… or we saw what we wanted to see, and the country’s persuadable independents saw something else. I’m afraid to believe. If I’m wrong, I don’t really know what Americans want. I know conservatives are thrilled to pieces, and they ought to be. She knocked it out of the park. I don’t think she could have delivered that speech any better. Even if I hadn’t suggested a line, I would say that the speech hit almost every note just right. (Did the Obama fans feel this way? Is this what their exultation feels like? Wonderful. I’m glad they get to experience it too.)

My e-mail box is thrilled. Cam's Talkbackers are thrilled — "you called down the thunder, and now ya have it."

blessed with an attactive countenance.

All the more reason for the double chinned hair in the model mustache liberal women to hate her.

I was always going to vote for McCain. What this speech did was transform a tactical vote (to keep Obama out) into a strategic one (to position Palin for her own Presidential campaign in 2012 or ‘16).

How about Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal? That will cast fear in their hearts for years.

Our biggest threat now is Democrat election fraud. They have been seeding the voter rolls for year with phony names and they will again this year. That adds up to a lot of votes over time.

Anyone else notice her comment about having a servant’s heart, and that would be the spirit that would take her to Washington? Am I stating the obvious, or am I the only one who finds this to be a thinly-veiled shout-out to believers?

My mom is a lifelong democrat, worked for the McGovern campaign (Yike!) and Hillary supporter. I called her after the speach and all she could say was “Wow!” She and my wife will both be voting for McCain.

she is definitely going to be Vice President

Well, I would say that the battle is not won with that speech, but the battle has been joined, and it will be hard-fought.

One thing I would venture to say, though, is that someday, that lady will be the first woman President of the US. Gawd, that must really piss Hillary off. Hehehe.

Extraordinary.

She will now be president, America’s first female leader. I always wondered what she would be like, and bless my soul, she’s a conservative republican. And she’s drop dead charming.

The dopey left wing media is going to get a blowback they neither understand nor expect. Nobody is going to want anybody to mess with “their” girl, because Sarah Palin tonight connected with a lot of people out there who are now completely in her corner.

Its rare to see a debut on this level. Once in a generation event, not seen since the early days of Reagan’s ascent.

Sept 3, 2008. The night the music died on the Left.

Cease your friendly fire.

Noonan was talking into an open mike about the political situation facing the Republican Freshman Class of '94, NOT about Palin.

She's written a column blaming the MSM for deliberately misquoting her.

Cheers!

I haven’t been this happy or excited in a long long time!!

Sarah absolutely blew me AWAY!! Awsome lady, awsome speech, given with just the right amount of wit, comfort and strength!

I hope that all countries around the world tuned in tonight! I hope they all got a gander at what a REAL AMERICAN WOMAN LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE!!!!

I’m so sick of liberal hollywood types being the only example of american womanhood that other countries get to see.

Bless us all, I think we may just have a great chance at winning this sucker!

Campbell Brown actually said she "identified" with Sarah when she was talking about the new baby.

Sarah seems to have supernatural magnetic powers outdoing the messiah himself!

Just watched Sarah Palin’s speech. I could be wrong, but I think that Obama-bin-Biden is toast. Nothing they throw against this lady is going to stick.

She’s smart, graceful, charismatic, articulate, and feminine. And even worse for the Obammunist, she’s got a much better voice and visage than Hillary.

Hillary’s voice always sounded like the screech of long fingernails scraping slate, and her signal pantsuit was always so frumpy, let alone so yesteryear.

Sarah’s family is beautiful, every one of them photogenic. Even their eldest daughter’s fiance is good looking. He was there with them.

They are a stunning family with a LOT of guts.

Metrosexual machine politicians like Obomber and Biden won’t be able to confound her.

In fact, it is she that has them utterly confounded.

That’s why their minions are so volatile.

All the false mudslinging is going to backfire on the Donkeys and their lapdog media BIG TIME.

She knocked it out of the park.

Big time...I almost wish the ticket were the other way around after hearing her. From what I’ve heard thus far and read, she “gets it” when it comes to government OF THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE...something almost all the politicians these days seem to either ignore, or forget...what am I saying, ignore...

Who’s with me, new constitutional amendment to limit terms for ALL members of legislative and executive positions...I’m just sick of the in office for half their term and then campaigning the other half, it’s a joke.

There, I feel better...

But she needs practice for the "long haul" -- it seemed a bit sing-song somewhere past the middle. That's the WORST I can say and she did one heck of a great job!!

I had just the opposite opinion. I thought she was a little stilted at the beginning. But then at about the middle she began to hit her stride. That was when she really opened up. This was a brilliant speech.

I now understand the desperation on the part of the media/DemocRATS.

They fear Sarah Palin. With good reason.

They are afraid she is the next Reagan.

I wasn’t old enough to vote for Reagan when he was President and did not understand his speeches until I became an adult but she spoke like Reagan. I have a child with Down’s Syndrome and that part about her son Trig made me proud. McCain will have a tough act to follow tomorrow night. She sounded very presidential.
